I'm enjoying Shutdownlands

I guess as long as they’re fixing issues, I can’t really complain.

Maybe a slight teensy weensy Sinseeker DoT nerfy nerf plz?

Freaking hope so, that thing is busted, my healers were oom so fast cause of it.

The damage amt was something I’d expect from mythic, honestly. It took everything our healers had to get us through that. A bit too much, imo.

And this was only normal.

I was having fun on the forums yesterday, but I guess we can’t joke like adults during down time.

I got a temporary forum ban for joking about packaging!

I can’t think of an expansion where I had this much fun in all aspects of the game up to this point in the release so it’s in my top 3 expansions so far but they have a long way to go yet. That said we have tier sets returning this expansion so I can’t wait.

I’m freaking loving Torghast, I love how the anima powers make everything so fun. Yesterday, I got one that made my Hand of Gul’dan usable without spending soul shards (but costing 10% of my health) and I had a huge army of Wild Imps.

I’d be right with you about my opinion save for one issue that bleeds into everything for me: it’s not new in the least.

I keep having a blast only to be interrupted by a problem. When that problem is known, and acknowledged… I can’t seem to get past it for this expansion.

Things I could forgive or ignore are now glaringly bright annoyances, such as:

  1. World quests that have out-of-character controls that don’t work properly in this type of game framework
  2. Quests that pit strangers against each other in PvE for single-tap resource nodes, and so on…
  3. Requiring one type of game play to access another type of gameplay. (This isn’t too bad for me, but it’s a problem for many types of players.)
  4. Basic expansion features hidden behind mediocre questing, just to stretch out the content. (I don’t need to quest to open up my third mission table in a row. It’s not fun the third expansion in a row.)

In the past I’ve been able to easily look past such long-known irritators for the benefit of getting out and about and tackling what’s new.

The game’s always been this way, but for me, somehow, what I’ve gained this expansion is not outweighing the negatives. I’m a bit burned out on the treadmill. I wouldn’t be if this expansion had truly been novel, but it’s almost the same as BfA in terms of systems.

I have reached out to players. We’ll see if upping my personal community will help enough. A good group of folks can make or break an experience, so perhaps it’s time to stop being so shy.

You made me LoL.

Yea you can’t say anything anymore. Someone had a joke thread about sneaking around as a rogue and I replied “You sneaky little thing you!” and got hit with inappropriate material message from the system.

As a former code monkey, I’m wondering what it was in your sentence that tripped the software to flag it.

I know how mine went. I actually insulted a “package”. So no harm no foul, other than mild surprise that we can’t be the least bit bawdy here (rolls eyes).

But “You sneaky little thing you”?

I just don’t know 'bout this heeah wuld no maw.
