I'm done with visions

Yeah figured that out, probably some basement dweller that’s got nothing better to do other than get banned from the forums.

i got all the mounts I wanted from the place. not sure how much I will push.

the thing feels very buggy.

for example, I know I killed hogger the first week, but I never got the shard. so when I got gamon last week, I did not get my nemesis mask.

that mask is key for the 5+ mask runs so I really couldn’t progress.

but also, just keep it in context. it is stuff to do.

but you can always just spam d11s to max out your gear. i know some streamers are cranking out 5 minute runs in the undermine delve (sluice something or other). I average more like 8 minutes a run. still much faster than running m+ if you have opened up runed → gilded exchanges.

This just in:

Bad content is bad.

Are you the forum police or something

The same could be said about your “dear diary” OP

With drain at 90% reduction and nemesis topping your sanity back up every 25 mobs stealth doesn’t really have much impact on your success, moreso just how long it takes. You can go REALLY slow, pull 1 pack at a time, wait for CDs, respec for bosses, clear space to kite, and still finish with an orb or two left over.

So on Alleria you really don’t have room or time to use the sanity orb without standing in something and either draining more than you gain or just dying in general. I went in with full sanity and 2 orbs left last night and still died to sanity loss after getting her down to 50m. The immunity orb that we are missing is really hurting this experience.

Once I saw it was a time gated borrowed power when it released I tried it a coupla times and said aahh, no thanks.

In fact I think I am saying no thanks to any of this slop content. I didn’t bother with the undermine either. I used to like delves but they are slowly rotting those into the same slop. A borrowed power belt /sheesh.

I didn’t really take sanity damage during alleria anyway, but it’d be safe to drop behind a pillar during her nova cast.

The most important thing as melee on that fight is to kick the fire bombs away when they drop so you still have space in the middle. Then play it slow and safe, the spaces for uptime will open up.

All i wanted was the helm enchants the top tier ones and boom that was it no more for. Played enough to get the coins needed to stock the wb with them for my other toons that was it for me.

The amount of fire in the room seems inconsistent.

Think sometimes there’s 5 fires active while other times, there’s only two.

(Perhaps a cast sequence thing?)

Several of her abilities are % hp based, this leads to them coming in-between her regular casts and delaying them all.

What worked for me was putting a skull icon onto her eye so I knew to avoid it. Then I would always drag her out of the middle so if she used darkened sky it would be baited where she would not port for her nova so I could get extra damage / dots (feral) onto her before hiding. Kicking the 2 fire things by clicking them also immensly helps, making only the eye really be what to look out for.

That’s what some don’t get, yeah. It is far easier with some classes/specs than others. I would argue that it’s almost impossible on a few of those for the average player. Since you are seemingly using Paladin, perhaps using Ret would help? It’s one of the best right now, plus the sooner things fall down, the better. They can’t damage you if they’re already dead.

Ret and prot would both be exceptionally good in visions. From his comments he seems to be an elemental shaman, which should also be pretty decent.

I was plodding along as a shadow and the last boss of mage tower sucked with a 45s kick (Forgot to talent it) but everything else was fine. I would say shadow is one of the worst dps options.

Thanks, that is good advice.

I am reliably getting to her now, and I’m getting the buffs in the buildings as well which helps immensely. For Shaw I decided to just bust him down and ignore everything but the purple swirly. Take the sanity loss from the eye minimally but end the fight in under a minute. Seems to work better than doing it properly.

Mage Quarter is still tough. Having to use CDs every time they are up, the beginning can be a real mess with Hogger spawning (still looking for a weak aura trigger with glow and sound for that). I’m either trying to ride my CDs and bust everything down like crazy or go slow and make sure I pull all the packs WAY back into the entryway to funnel them together.

Everything is not bad, I am ilvl 678 but I’m a Frost Mage so no real healing. I’ll get it at some point.

I think DoT classes are actually best for Stormwind because they can make Alleria and the mage tower boss much easier.

I did trash as Guardian because tank specs make the trash 10x easier and then swapped to balance for some bosses and mini bosses.

As balance the mage tower boss ended up as the most consistently easy thing in SW even though it was the hardest until I saw someone mention the strat of just letting it fully cast blizzard without ending it. Just DoT it up, burst it into blizzard phase as fast as you can and wait in the doorway for the cast to finish. It’s easier on druid since you’re poly immune and only have to interrupt missiles, but solar beam is up by the time it gets back to you and then it quickly goes into another blizzard, hopefully with your dots refreshed. You can also attack it via ground targeted AoEs on specs that have those during the blizzard phase. It always casts poly after Blizzard so I’d re-dot during that time and then step back to LoS so it’d run back to me to missile. If you’re not poly immune you might be able to DoT it during the cast, interrupt poly then hide and possibly get it to phase again before it casts missiles.

Shaw and Alleria are also easier I think when you can DoT them since you have more time to be safe with your position and direction while still doing damage.

The mini-boss before shaw actually ruined some of my attempts and I found it to be harder than mage tower. I had to make sure to clear the stealth mobs first and then try to burst it as fast as I could as balance. Sometimes I’d take basically no sanity damage on it, other times I’d lose an entire sanity bar on it.

The mini-boss below mage tower also ruined a couple attempts and is a much bigger threat than the mage tower boss itself if you do the safer DoT/AoE strat. I tried to skip it once and it aggroed me while I was halfway up the ramp.

I once went into Alleria with 3 orbs and res up after having gotten her to 10% going in with no orbs and no res and thought I had it easily and managed to mess it up to basic things. The time I finally got it I went in I think with res and one orb and made sure I took my time and was careful.

Are you guys interrupting Entropic Missiles or Tainted Polymorph? I can’t do both on my Shaman, and they end up eating 500+ sanity that would otherwise be inconsequential. The polymorph makes burning bridges eat sanity, and sometimes he casts polymorph then entropic, making you eat sanity anyways.
