I'm defining Casual

How so?

Indeed. Even if WoW never released another content patch and simply put WoW into indefinite maintenance mode, it would still take literal years for me to complete everything I already have on my mental To Do List for WoW. And that’s not even including Classic and TBC Classic if I wanted to get into those seriously, too.

Because while I may raid Mythic, I’m not going for world first. I usually only go for AOTC but my guild wanted to keep going and push Mythic so I’m doing that now.

For keys, I do them, but once I get all 15s for the mount, I’m probably done until next season. It’s a goal, but I’m not going to try to see how high I can push keys. That’s just not my playstyle.

I play my alts a lot too, so while I do focus SOMEtimes, I switch when I get bored and want a different set of abilities or a different role entirely.

And even though I play for several hours a night (and almost every night) I wouldn’t say all of those hours are FILLED with things to do. Sometimes I’ll be standing around in game while typing out posts like this.

Sure, there may be people who do LESS than I do, but I’m still a casual player overall.

Casual by a hardcore player’s standard sure.

Just like Oprah isn’t wealthy when you compare her to Jeff Bezos.

Not to derail the conversation too much, but how is Wasteland 3 from an honest perspective? I enjoyed Wasteland 2 but it was mostly just like, pretty okay, not bad at all, but given it was a reboot to an IP like 20 years old at the time it was way too safe in what it did.

Like, the most memorable part of the game was the Cat Litter collection quests, as well as the Polite Cannibals. I also wasn’t really a huge fan of how “Power Armor” was simply stats, and didn’t actually consist of a visual upgrade to the character’s appearance.

Too many flat binary choices to do A or B with fairly predictable results. I felt like Fallout had more open ended choices.

Agreed, but good luck with that.

As a Comp Sci guy, I appreciate that joke.

Immeasurably superior.

And your appearance changes with armor.

I’m not sure whether the most memorable part so far is Discobot or God-President Reagan. Still got a lot to go.

When my daughter and I level in a group we are playing the game hardcore. We started 5 years ago and are at like 30.

Brilliant :joy:

The dynamic environment created in playing games with other non-scripted AI is currently not matched in single player games.

While WoW currently is pretty sterile in how much interaction exists in the game world, when running “solo” in Skyrim, my interactions with the game are scripted and programmed. In WoW, I have the scripted portions but also the dynamic, emergent gameplay that comes from a MMO.

An MMO isn’t the same as a co-op game. It’s just that the population of the game consists of many Player Characters that aren’t NPCs.

In sum, the player character may be playing solo, but they’re not playing alone.

Evidently true.
One clown in a lowbie dungeon vote kicked a tank for making a wrong turn in Black fathom Deeps, lol. The guy quickly corrected but that two seconds we lost apparently wasnt quick enough. Vote kick comes up with some obnoxious insult I cant repeat without another joke vacation, lol.
It passed. So i told them while they were waiting for a tank replacement they could find another healer while they were at it and bailed.
While they behave like this, I hope they enjoy their long queues waiting for tanks and healers.

This is the logic I’m seeing here:

I’m not wealthy–I only own a small loft in the city, and own a BMW and a Land Rover. I’m not wealthy at all.

Uhhh dude you’re loaded.

Eh, I wouldn’t even put myself on Oprah’s level. Maybe one of those “millionaires” you see on “Undercover Boss”. Those guys you’ve never heard of but they run some company that you’ve known for years?

More like that.

Have you seen a doctor about that? I’m thinking you should.

Plot twist: all their neighbors own Gulfstreams and Globals :flight_departure::heavy_dollar_sign::upside_down_face:
