I'm a bit miffed. 😠

Forums: We want the Alliance to be portrayed as TUFF as the Horde!
Also the forums: Wait, why are we attacking the Horde forces???

It was a confusing time. The only thing I questioned was why they were attacking the Vulpera, specifically, as I’m not sure that’s a wise use of resources. They could be doing more damage, elsewhere, on more important targets.

And this is why the alliance are so reactive and a lot of people complain about that. You guys really need some internal conflict to spice up your story.

I would adore that. I want genn to go totally rogue with a unit of Horde haters like Captain Rogers and go on a killing spree, sure they can pay for it later or have it blow up in their faces but I want aggression shown, not just talked about. Then I want Anduin to manduin up and deal with that.

The problem is the Horde doesnt have much left to have impactful counterbalance. The left over leaders are mostly passive aside from Sylvanas or actively working to help the Alliance like Baine. Too much of the Horde actually wants peace for this narrative to work so they are basically forced to lump all the atrocities on Sylvanas. its just bland and the whole BfA ā€œwarā€ is contrived and unfounded.

I can kind of see why ā€œpurge squadsā€ would seem a little too much. It’s one thing to be tough and strong, it is another thing to go around with a purge squad.

They could have just changed the word ā€œpurgeā€ and let us kill them like they are enemy combatants.

We routinely refer to ourselves as murderhobos. :\

Second time this week I’ve almost spit out my drink. XD

I totally agree with everything you’ve said here. I mean if they are giving the horde a ā€˜choice’ whether they follow the undead banshee queen or not, why cant the alliance get a similar choice? Be super kind or a murder hobo? (More of a murder hobo than we all are questing I mean)

EDIT:

Ya beat me to it!

The Alliance should not become interesting imitating the Horde!
the Alliance, is not bloodthirsty, for free! If they were orcs and forsakens, they’d be burning now!

But vulperas are not members of the Horde and haven’t done bad some to Alliance!

Vulperas are not our enemies, yet, and the Alliance should not act like a tyrant stupid!

If you kill for free, make a character in the Horde and go impale mother on walls, in front of your kids!

Tell you what, we can trade. I’m tired of murdering children and their parents for the Murder Queen, you guys can take a turn at being ā€œmonstersā€.

Blizzard needs to understand that we are Murder Hobos. Once you embrace that concept, everything becomes morally simple.

Well, they certainly are friendly to the Horde, and that may well be enough under the circumstances.

Ah, damn… this is a terrible choice on Blizzard’s end if true.

They should have ignored the people who complained about us burning the Vulpera, being part of the Purge Squads was awesome.

Let the Alliance play the dark end of our moral ā€œgreyā€ for once… That just sucks.

Or… at least they could have left it as is but given us the ā€œchoiceā€ to either kill them or scare them. You talk to an NPC and they give you a choice like the Horde have been getting, like when the Horde got to kill Alliance with the plague or heal their own guys… and then you get to go out and be part of things they way you want. I hate when they cartoonify the Alliance. This is part of what keeps our side lacking and more boring than it needs to be. You have to let us actually be bad guys now and then, or it’s always going to suck.
