It’s because other people have more gear, yeah. I’ll be like 330 on an alt, and my buddy who just reached 70 is like 280 but we’re still putting a group together and there’s no reason to invite a 305 ilev over one of the million 350-365s

so have i, im 351 doing heroics, crafting, anything i can to up my ilvl, why do you presume im not doing an all of the above strategy?

My tank sometimes removes people if he doesn’t like their mog.

Don’t even need to be in a guild to fix this particular problem. Literally just start a group.

ive expladined 3x time, ppl dont join a group with a single dps that they think is a low ilvl, if you didnt see this, you are willfully ignorant, and youre the one being rude.
The player base has made ilvl king.
You can make your own group as well but you will get people as under geared as you.
As more people hit 70 this will be less and less of an issue.
For as long as gear has had a power level associated with it players have been filtering each other. This is nothing new.
This expansion I’ve abandoned my mage in favor of a shaman. Shammy let’s me group as a healer and it’s MUCH easier to get invites as a healer. I can still set my loot spec to dps if I want.

I don’t have any characters equipped to test the hypothesis, but am now curious if/how many times OP’s own group would have filled in the ~20 minutes this thread has been up.
Create a group and just see the surge of dps all queuing all at once and tell me with a straight face, that you’re not gonna take the highest ilvl of the bunch.
again not addressing specifically what i said to prove your own point because its inconvenient for you.
