FF14 had a very rough start, but it really started to bloom for me around the time Heavensward started. It was at least good enough for me that, by the time hrothgar came out, I found myself hesitant to use the free race-change potion I had kept in the bank because it felt too weird to “recanonize” my character as something else. That’s not something I ever felt about my WoW main.
If that’s how you see your experiences in life, then I truly feel sorry for you. The whole theme of the game is that of multiple parallell canons not a single story.
FF14 tells an amazing story, arguably one of the best in its franchise, and does a phenomenal job including the PC as not just an important character in the lore, but the main character like any other FF game
Assuming you’re talking about an MMORG, how is that different from WOW’s present approach?
I am the one and ONLY boss of the Uncrowned!
One Love,
One Heart,
Let’s get together and feel all right…
My life experiences have nothing to do with my game experiences.
That’s weird of you to say.
I can’t tell if Blizzard wants you the player to be the main character in a MMO, or some halfway who is awed by the NPC main characters that the story revolves around.
Don’t engage him. I’m 90% sure he’s being paid to promote FF14
