Sounds like weak-minded individuals looking for excuses for maintaining outdated/wrong beliefs. “Its not my fault I’m racist, its the libs detailing why I’m racist who are the ones making me racist!”
Again, one discord (Emerald Dream Classic) unless there is some other server I’m preemptively excluded from.
Well, we haven’t had a reason to scatter yet so we’re all doing a pretty good job as we are.
From memory, I’ve only participated in four discords: GorWatha, Old School ED, NMM, and Classic Emerald Dream. Its news to me I’ve been in “Grobb Discord” so props to convincing yourself I was there.
edit: here might be one more I manually quit from cause people were tossing around casual racist comments, but that was maybe a year ago and not the “Grobb Discord.”
You listen to the clip and it’s his closing statement after berating them for their disdain towards America.
It’s a really simple timeline of, Stop hating on Democracy and America -> You're all examples of why America is great and anyone can prosper -> instead of trying to change something that's working fine go back and fix the places you / your parents left.
“America is great, your ‘home country’ isn’t, so to back and fix it before you criticize America” makes no sense when America is their home.
Even then, Trump should know better: congressmen don’t have direct executive authority over their home districts. Trump has more power over their communities than they collectively do and he’s yelling at them to “do something.” Good lord.
The point is that congressmen don’t have actual power in their home districts - they only represent them in Congress. Even if we take Trump telling them to “go back and fix [those communities]” at face value, its a meaningless talking point because they have no power in the first place. The Office of the President, in contrast, could develop any number of executive orders to target those places with actual authority; individual congressmen don’t have those kinds of tools.
I’d also argue Trump has interest in helping those communities - if his mantra is “Make America Great Again” and those areas are preventing this from occurring, its on him to do what he can to make them great, thereby making America great.
You’re gonna have to link me something because Trump’s “go back” statements started via twitter.

“Travel arrangements” via Pelosi aren’t necessary if they’re going to their districts.
Sounds like you approve of Trump telling Rep Omar to go “back home.” Am I reading this right?
You’re gonna have to forgive me, when I deal with Trumpites they are almost always of the opinion that Trump was telling the Squad to “go back to their home (districts)” rather than the countries their parents are from. It’s nice to actually see someone admit to what Trump was actually saying.
To your timeline: the great thing about institutions is that there is enough public trust in the government to actually implement change. Somalia has no institutions, so I’m unsure what change Rep. Omar would be able to achieve on her own. Besides, she’s a US citizen. What her constituents think of her means far more than what Trump does.
You’re assuming I’m a “Trumpite” You want an argument so bad just because I told you to look at the context. You’re unable to hold a conversation because you’re foaming at the mouth assuming I’m a Trumpite thinking you KNOW me and what my beliefs are.
There’s a term for people who put groups of people into little boxes and assume all manner of stereotypes about the people in those boxes…I can’t seem to recall what that term is, just now.
