Most of the comments just seem to be green with envy, an irony given many of the arguments can be said of pretty much any race being asked for in alternative.
Sethrak would suffer the Dracthyr treatment, Ogres would be worse Kul’tirans (in that for the most part they’d be giants but dumber on average and look terrible in armor), Vyrkul and High Elves… literally just taller humans and Alliance Blood Elf.
Who said anything about being a delicate flower lady. How about if they had muscles. We’ve got some fat females from some races now. How about a body builder type.
They might actually be less appealing to me than Earthen, and I want to wipe the earthen from the face of azeroth. Haranir look like they’re made for like…Disney adults…or 35 year old women obsessed with labubus…

I’ll be doing a few race changes on my alt army for sure. I made like 15 void elves when they came out, and I need to tone down all the purple.
I’m not going to bash them.
But so far they seem even less interesting than the Earthen…

I love the look of elves, don’t get me wrong. But nothing special.
It makes no sense for newly discovered races who had nothing to do with the scourge and the story leading up to Wrath of the Lich King to be Death Knights.
And there is no reason why new races would get made into Death Knights. It’s a horrible, evil procedure and part of the story of Death Knights is that they’re trying to redeem themselves in spite of their origins. It would be crazy to get yourself turned into an undead to go through that for no reason.
Same with my folk (Demon Hunters). It doesn’t make sense to me that there would be any new ones. I’m pretty iffy on the justification for Void Elves suddenly being able to be Demon Hunters.

So good I kinda hate my druid. And am a little irked at Blizzard for not doing him better.
They do genuinely look amazing, though I have to admit the most exciting thing about them to me is that I can use them to just… make a night elf with better customization options. Which begs the question of why customization resources aren’t just being put into improving the races we know and love.
They are really cool though, like I can’t lie about that. I do like them a lot, and I don’t blame folks for being excited to play them.
Yeah, I’m essentially using them as extra customizable elves with cool druid forms. But I’m still counting it as HYPE.
1000%. They need to stop making allied races, especially if they are going to continue to flat out refuse to add ones people want. Those resources would be much better spent giving existing races more options.
Right, like don’t give me a 10th kind of dwarf. Redo the Forsaken so they are updated zombie badasses. Let me have more jewelry types and colors. Give me hair styles from the actual 2020s.
Dwarves are half as tall, so you need twice as many of them.

We can’t be friends because I find them dull. I was hoping for something with more established lore, like the Amani trolls. These are just elves that wish they were trolls.
This toon notwithstanding, most characters I play are male casters. And the male NE casting animation is horrendous.
