obviously the AH can be used as an avenue to try to hide RMT transactions.
when it is being used in the way suggested in the post i was responding to (you put up potions as a legit player who farmed them, and a random person who bought gold purchases them) the transaction would be blind for the seller, they did not know who was going to purchase them.

I will say, I think at least one of your concerns is covered by the way they said they will be classifying GDKP, in that they said they consider any form of gold for loot system to be GDKP. So if someone yoinks an item and sells it to someone else, itâs likely that one or both of them will have action taken against their account
It is also a more monitored system by both Blizzard and players, whereas GDKP is entirely unregulated and unsupported by blizzard prior to being banned. The last time I heard of the AH being used for illicit gold was before the overhaul of the cross faction AH.
Currently gold is sent via mail when purchased and (this is proveable with a simple google search) sent with the label " your GDKP payout".

rmt is banned, and they should do both. its not an either/or. both are bad for the game and should be removed wherever possible.

gold is incredibly easy to make if youâre willing to put in time, something most gdkp attendees seem to be allergic to even the though of. even more so than for me than most because i am a rogue with very low ping on my server and a clue how macros work.
ive never had an issue farming, i hand farmed every consume in vanilla including enough lotus to last me every week for the entire game, except sometimes i bought mithril for sappers because that farm was super low gph vs herbs late game.
too many people who have gotten used to fattened rmt gdkp payouts cant fathom farming anymore. i am not one of them.
Just to add on to your points here, the barrier of entry for GDKP promotes gold buying. If you arenât carrying, youâre expected to shovel out a minimum amount of gold. Asking budgets or flashing your gold total is regularly required to show youâre a big spender.
Sometimes I do GDKPs and when I do all the gold i spend is farmed. So youâre wrong and have no point hehe

if you do gdkps then just logically, no it is not because you get a payout and will presumably spend that in future runs, unless youre going as a pure buyer i guess which is just sad
