If you were transported 400 years into the past with no belongings, how would u say u were frm future

That’s probably because you’re thinking of survival as being dropped in the wilderness. To survive in the past would require understanding the society enough to blend in, because anything out of whack in 1625 would get you killed.

“Including what you are wearing. A women in a short dress would be jailed, or killed. For a woman to show legs was a sin.”

Yep. And I don’t know many marines skilled in sword fighting, cannons, and muskets lol

Like if this was an Oregon Trail type game I would choose historian or doctor.

Honestly 400 years into the past they’d probably think I was a demon I guess and I’d be put through some pretty terrible practices.

“I am not a Marine, but I know how to use all of those, as well as Archery Weapons.”

Archery was on the decline. Literally the century they became obsolete.

“True, but an Adult would still be aware of them, unlike a child, who would only know them as they were told of them.”

Most of us would be. Our accents, the way we speak and act, how we’re dressed. We would stick out like a sore thumb. Hell, depending where you went, if you showered before leaving might be enough to make someone suspicious lol

Yeah, I think 400 years ago would be around the time of the witch trials. I wouldn’t run around talking about the future.

Would probably be considered a witch for my hair cut, or for having all my teeth at near 40 years old.

I would find the Necronomicon and say Klaatu Barada Nikto

Valid point. There was a lot of open space. I would take my chances with the elements and see how it went. Even the way we speak would be extremely strange to them.

I mean…other than dying in the freezing dark of space, the other way this turns out is you committing genocide via biological warfare, the exact same way the original colonizers did lol.

In all around the world was a tough time, with some rare exception depending on where you go and who you contact first

so, yeah, i would need to know the specifics, to not be enslaved, otherwise, nah thanks.

Without objects… you can’t. Because philosophy and education haven’t changed AT ALL, only technology. There isn’t much psychological difference, only exaggeration and atomization of certain aspects. In-fact, I’d wager they’d find us insane because of how many aspects of human nature we pretend away as sinful that even they did not.
The state of elevating the instinct and fearing applying the human mind to reality is still the norm, and innovation is naturally reserved to the most daring, individualistic, creative… whom are still the most vilified and hunted by the lazy and the envious. Only the word games changed, the ideas never have. It’s that memed video lecture where the guy shows images of things from 150 years ago and today. The only thing that largely hasn’t changed around the world is the education system. It’s based in anti-human, totalitarian models, and today preaches such archaic philosophies that suddenly regained popularity. We’re in unquestionable, rapid regression and are in the most volatile state ever. Publishing the nuclear equations was a mistake because humanity continues to choose irrationality, mysticism, tribalism, collectivism, fear-and-war-mongering… etc. I genuinely think the only thing that we are better at is the uses of technology to improve QoL, which now receive marginal investment. Even the field of technology is now hijacked by neo-mystical cults that parasitize the human mind, indoctrinating people using fear and suppression to believe they are individually incapable, their existence is sinful and they must sacrifice themselves to some arbitrary deity – be it a leader, nature, ‘society’… We’re just monkeys with tablets, as if nothing has been learned from world wars and nuclear detonations. On the contrary. This is where we’re at again, and this time – there will not be a next time to course-correct.

Or teeth. Pretty sure dental hygiene didn’t even exist back then.

Edit: I’d actually just keep my mouth shut for fear of being burnt as a witch or something.

and immediately cause a plague in their tribe causing countless deaths just because the germs on your body as not impacting you doesn’t mean they wont kill someone else first contacts tend to cause a decent amount of deaths they have no immunity to what you carry

I’d be the only white guy in Australia babbling nonsense, so the local aboriginals of Awabakal Nation would have no idea wtf I’m trying to say while staring at me with spears at the ready.

If they didn’t kill me I’d probably die of skin cancer within the next 15 years

Depends on how you perceive timetraveling. Do you actually go back 400 years in your timeline? Or do you timetravel 400 years back on a different/new timeline, as in does you travelling back in time create a new timeline. Like in-game shards.

Dental hygiene wasn’t that bad 400 years ago, probably better than nowadays. Remember that sugar wasn’t that widespread and mostly for the rich.

Well Nostradamus actually showed somebody his laptop ( hence " magic mirror that knows everything") but I think curing the plague and practically inventing hygiene singled him out.

Europe wouldn’t be so bad, America tho most Americans would be screwed… I would have a shot albeit not the greatest…

Growing up untill i joined the army i lived in a dry cabin(we had no running water or electricity) in Alaska… About 70 miles north of fairbanks.

So i sorta know how to Survive
