Aren’t they, though? Giving into the competition urges of the primates humans evolved from just to get their jollies by ruining the fun of other players by ganking and killing quest givers over and over?
Not one word of that is untrue.
Again, please watch the number of martinis you drink. I’d hate to see you in the hospital with alcohol poisoning.
Once again, your bias is showing. But go ahead, continue to insult the playerbase and then claim the moral high ground.
Ah, so the truth is an insult? Fascinating. If the shoe fits I guess.
But, I guess we really can’t take the opinion of someone who drinks cocktails all day and every time he posts seriously. 's all good though. You just have fun in Classic. And remember, don’t drink and drive.
No, but your opinion is. If you can’t see the difference, I can’t help you.

I’ll agree with this. I made the post to share my opinion. Obviously I should have directed it more towards MY opinion, and not “we”. That was my mistake. In the end I’ll play whatever they give us.
" If you add Sharding in Classic, you will fail. People will leave and go back to Private Servers."
Right off the bat. Attitude like he/she speaks the ultimate truth and nothing but what he/she thinks matters. I don’t care if I’m approached specifically. The OP started the thread with attitude and a sense of my way or the highway. Very narrow minded attitude like they know all.
His/her concern has been voiced ever since sharding was mentioned by Blizzard as a way of tackling the overcrowding issue at launch regardless of the fact that Blizzard has the ultimate decision on this.
I bring reason in the idea that I offer another view point that is not based off emotion or “maaa vanilllllllaaaaa” type whining. I am looking at this objectively where as the OP is merely taking an emotional stance and nothing more.
Yes, I can be nicer. I choose to not be after the responses I’ve seen from the #nochanges zealots.

And you aren’t presenting any opinion, other than telling someone else to shut up. Why?
I support no sharding even if it gets clunky at times, it will feel like the world is way more alive. I dont want to not see my friend next to me and then once i add him to my party only THEn have him magically appear before my eyes. I want to see my friend pulling up on his mount from the distance

Again, another selfish want. Congrats on being selfish instead of caring about the greater good.
Funny, that’s how I view the pro-sharding side of the argument.

Sorry for asking but how is it selfish?

Sharding wasn’t in Vanilla. Should they really put a WWII exhibit in a Civil War museum?

Classic already isn’t authentic with most of the player base having changed so making the game playable for the first week or two just seems to be small and you will quickly be able to turn that ww2 exhibit back to how it should be.

So they should make more changes? Also, the preposition assumes 2 things:
-
that sharding is needed at launch
-
Blizzard won’t use it anywhere else

It would be a terrible business idea to have sharding go on for any longer and we all know that blizzard likes money
I agree. But this is Blizz we’re speaking of.

We can assume that blizzard already knows that the community does not like sharding so having it longer than it needs to be is stupid.
And for the majority to play classic for at least a hour sharding is their best bet but only temporary
Some people currently at blizzard understand that, I agree.
But in a corporate bureaucracy logic can lose its power over time vs other factors. And sharding is built into their infrastructure.

If I have to explain it to you, again, then I refuse to. Some people will never see over their own nose.
Ok, let’s simmer down a bit and all be nicer. The playful crusty bitterness has gone beyond that delicious carmelized crust and is just now smelling sad and burnt…
(I still think sharding in classic is dumb though )
