If you sat down with Ion what would your conversation consist of?

I would probably try to discuss how zones should scale to all levels, and on PvE modes, allow new players on new created characters (not boosted) to enter new xpac content and level up. I want all zones to be relevant to any level.

And how I would also like talent points back, even if it’s to boost my damage by 1%, it felt like I am working my way up each level. Little things like that feel nice and rewarding imo, even if it’s small.

It would go like this

So… did you just completely ignore my post and respond to someone else randomly? Who said anything about there being no camping? What i said was, if you camped, you were STILL available later in the week.

Now, with wuss mode a button click away, people camp, then don’t pay the price.

I ganked, i camped, but i GOT ganked, and i GOT camped. That was the initiation to pvp servers. Now you guys are ONLY warmode when you have a massive group. You gank, but you don’t GET ganked. You haven’t paid your dues.

I ask him if any new content will be added in old world. Making these zone viable and relevant.

Barrens
Desolace
Thousand Needles
Elwynn Forest
Westfall
Duskwood
Stranglethorn Vale North and South
Swamp of Sorrows
Badlands
Wetlands

I would love to see new life to these zones. Right now these zones are empty and just there. Would love to see them get a meaning.

Well see the thing is…

Like I understand what you’re saying but I feel…

So heres the thing.

If he’s submitted his resume to other companies yet and whatever or not he’s looked into how he’s gonna convert his 401k.

Ask the following.
1: Why do all the classes feel so bad and depressing to play?
2: Can we remove the race/class restrictions
3: When do we get to kill Sylvanas?
4: Can I be Warchief so I can lead the Horde to an era of peace once we get rid of Sylvanas?
5: When do we get flying!? I’m sick of running everywhere and wasting gold on flight points!
6: 2 handed weapons for enhance shaman and frost death knight.
7: Can I have a couple of free faction changes?

1 Redundant battles (almost every encounter is just a sequence of moves - not random. learn the timing’s, win…) 2 Art needs to be more aesthetically pleasing/more mature. 3 Random mobs need different health pools, different abilities, different challenges. A deer, for example, can have the same health pool as a mob that you have to kill for a quest. And why do critters put you in combat? You know? An eagle that’s not hostile for either faction has equal hit points to a quest mob… doesn’t make sense - and this all leads to a little more boring gameplay. 4 Sound bites could be better. “You will be a worthy foe”… the npc is saying that his opponent is equal, or he’s worried about losing, perhaps. “I’ll make a painting with your blood” … now that’s kinda bone chilling. 5 Add more unique items to the game. Anyone can get the bronze drake from Stratholme - WOTLK; but until you have it, it’s something worth pursuing. A vendor mount though - everyone can get. A toy that you get for completing a quest chain - was doing it anyways… 6 Achievements should be achieved, not handed out like candy.

About 15 bottles of ouzo and a few loukanika platters :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Probably ask about what his job is really like behind the scenes, how decisions are made etc. I think it’d be interesting.

I would ask why cars bloom from parsing the spaghetti in trees, because any other question I could ask would get a meaningless answer.

Survival was even worse in Legion.

That’s your opinion. I think it was a lot better, it was more fun and it FELT like a melee spec.

So why did you decide to ruin the dungeon gameplay experience?

I would ask him a few starter questions to better understand if further questions would make sense to ask. Namely how flexible and quick they can be in adding, removing, and changing content in an expansion they’re working on that isn’t out yet.

If I was made to understand that they could be fairly flexible and quick, I would pose a couple of questions:

  • What’s the mindset behind not replicating historically successful gameplay features in each expansion? (Examples: Outdoor battlegrounds like Wintergrasp, legendary systems, challenging solo content with rewards such as the Legion Mage Tower, etc.)
  • Why does it seem like issues in alphas and betas don’t get addressed until some time after the expansion’s release?

I’d also ask a few general questions, like:

  • Why does there seem to be a focus on trying to please so many different types of gamers when it’s going to almost inevitably cause problems with so many other types of gamers already in the game?
  • How often do the actual developers (not CM’s) look at the forums, and regardless of how often, why don’t they try to do more direct communication with the community like they used to with class Q&A’s and the old dev watercoolers?
  • Why do they tend to take an excessively long time addressing / “fixing” things they did years ago and say they regret? (Not isolated to the 8.1.5 portals issue, this is something that’s happened several times)

Why do you insist on treating PvP as little more than a side activity for mythic+ and raiders and not as a separate form of endgame content?

I’d probably want to ask about the design process, specifically how the entire team generates ideas, and how they come to decisions about what to add, what to scrap, and what to change.

I’ll be honest - i’d like to know how he manage to pivot himself from a lawyer into a lead game developer, and why he chose to do so.

You can’t seriously expect the blizzard HR to say this: the moment i saw his resume, i know he’ll be a great game developer - because he’s a lawyer, man!

How’d you know? You didn’t even play as Survival in Legion, at all.

Your bias against those who liked Melee SV is well known across that hunting circle. Let’s don’t make it even more notorious than it needs to be.
