I’m new to tanking and tanking these dungeons/raid is rather difficult.
I have no addons, I have no hardcore raiding experience, and I struggle with most heroics lol
With all that being said,
I am learning and I’m getting better as I go, I’m a reasonable man, and I hear your voices, so if you want to call me a stinky bad tank during the raid, that’s fine, but we still have to finish the raid together because I dont leave.
A boss mod addon tells you 95% of what you need to do in a raid, especially one as simple as LFR. Not to mention, not using addons is willfully opting out of having useful information available for general play, and you’re almost definitely not playing optimally without using them for various other things too.
If you knew what you were doing wrong, you wouldn’t be getting called a crappy tank in LFR. Get the addons and work from there. There is zero downside.
Well if you wanna get good then get proper addons learn tanking and specs and then jump into higher level content but if you wanna stay at that lfr and heroic level than keep doing what you’re ( which is btw nothing wrong with it)
Don’t listen to elitists. LFR is absolutely fine to play without addons since it’s the easiest version of the raids. Even normal raids are fine to do without any addons.
People will talk a lot of trash no matter what you do. Whether you’re a great tank, bad tank, or Jesus himself someone will throw garbage your way. You’ll have to ignore and move on but I am sure you got this.
Sadly. You either are prepared to put in X amount of work so you can play group content, or you should only solo play. The game no longer can support people slowly getting the hang of things, other players won’t tolerate it. Is it the community’s fault? Has Blizzard’s design philosophy pushed the player base to adopt this mindset? I don’t know, but every expansion that goes by I enjoy the game less, despite the great storytelling (the thing that keeps me coming back.)
