If you had your current knowledge when classic released, what would you of have done differently?

Well all PvP servers would become PvE servers if people knew what Phase 2 would bring.

Knowing what I know now? Not played. I hate this min/maxing bs, the meta dictatorship, the rude community, and the horrible state of pvp.

Would’ve rolled a chad dwarf warrior in an all-dwarf guild.

Oh wait.

You could have rolled a female dwarf warrior.

I would’ve beat the game.

Leveled alts during the time I quit so that I could have an army of mooncloth CD’s at my disposal.

I would’ve rolled on a PvE server. I’ve come to realize that PvP servers are cancer, but I pushed all my friends to roll on PvP. I recently rerolled Alliance on a different high pop PvP server, and I see why Alliance complain so much. It’s exhausting trying to do anything outdoors when the horde just overwhelms every zone.

In phase 1/2, I remember leveling alts and there were plenty of people to group up with. Playing my Alliance character, it seems like everyone is in instances 24/7. I can’t blame them either.

Nothing because most people predicted all of this. Anyone who was surprised really doesn’t pay attention. This was a cash grab by Blizzard, expecting it to be any good is just delusional.

I sorta regret transferring off my overcrowded server when the first wave of free transfers came out.
So to answer your question, I would not transfer my toon but instead stick it out, reading the news while you wait in queue isnt the worst thing to do with your time.

I would have controlled my altoholicism better.

I can’t even complain about not farming Black Lotus – I don’t have any characters high enough to farm it! Ditto level 60 battlegrounds, raids, etc.

I have one 43, three at 40, two at 36, and a few more in their 20s. In the amount of time I have played, I would probably have at least 2 level 60s if I stuck to one or two characters.

Then again. I like playing this way. So missing out on a few things is okay.

Not started =P

Find a much more chill guild man, there are plenty of them. Doing that will drop your DPS by a ratio of the boss kill times and use of raid setup, and buffs and debuff, BUT, you will instead actually have fun.

Content is easy, the whole established meta really only makes sense if you’re going for speed clear records, and considering the absurd investment of time needed to make that a weekly event, yeah, no thank you.

No kidding, find a semi serious non delusional guild that’s got a good atmosphere and it’s a completely different experience.

I did connect with my old guild on discord. I only left them because ranking on that server was stupid insane. Moved to a smaller place where I am now, and I was able to get my 10, and call it a day.

Old guild is also feeling the current state, and most of them have moved on, or are on their way out. All that matters is I can still pop in from time to time to say hello.

I do agree with you though. I really do think many take it way too far, and we really don’t need to be making WoW as hard as it is. The game is stupid easy. I think a lot of people’s stress would drop, and have more time for other things in life. However, meta requires people to no life it, and it’s just silly.

I would have sold short on a bunch of stock in January…

I would have rolled a druid first so i could have capitalized on the massive tank shortage in p1/2.

Rolled on a pve server. griefers and min/maxers just ruin it for me on pvp servers

Yup, if players were more realistic they would be happier, big time! I have a blast because the content is chill, and I have a good group of people to chill with. It’s not perfect, we got lil problems like tank mishaps, healer mishaps, threat mishaps, and general goofin causing trouble, but still on a decent day can do bwl and mc in a lil over 3 hrs. Some have world buffs, some dont, but everyone is having a good time, so that’s what matters to me.

If I was going to keep my sub active, I would roll alliance and join you. That’s a good guild you have. That reminds me of what Vanilla was like, and tell everyone in your guild if you can I said this.

It’s a diamond in the rough. I’ll see where I’m at in a month, or so. Maybe I need the month off? I dunno. If I come back, I’ll hit you up.

I would have went herbalism/mining over tailoring/enchanting.

Send tell on forum or in game. I’m not an officer but I can get you in. It’s a good group, nothing is ever perfect but it really is the vanilla experience, and everyone is overall nice and chill.

Only thing I would do differently is make a level 1 alt on one of the PvP servers, so I could witness the meltdown in Alliance trade chat during P2 as Azeroth burns.
