If you guys haven't figured it out already

Blizz has PTSD from damp seasons and wants everyone to do big dam.

That’s why you’re getting 5% nerfs on irrelevant things.

Do more dam.

l2p issue.

Well we had games going over 50% damp a week ago in AWC so hopefully the devs achieve their design goals this time around.

Idk about that, if that were true every class would be as squishy as boomy.

Im all for a faster-paced meta, though.

I choose to interpret this as bring-back-WOD-PVP, and thus I agree with it

Holinka did nothing wrong

Nah, link?

See l2p issue.

Just do more dam and it doesn’t go dam clearly.

Just a reminder that WoD pvp was the worst iteration of pvp up until that point, TBC, wotlk, cata and mop were all better. Everyone with rose coloured glasses for WoD is wrong and has a bad opinion.

They literally removed half the abilities from everyone in-between mop and wod, every class turned into “1-2-3 pop CDs - get wall+trinket - 1-2-3 pop CDs - kill or be killed” scripted gameplay. It was trash af and probably babbies first xpac if you actually think it was good. An entire content patch was just an in-game selfie camera. That’s it.

So here is the reason you hate WoD pvp so much. TBC and Wrath were trash and were beyond broken in terms of balance. WoD was much better than those.

It doesn’t matter which iteration of wow pvp we’re in , players are never happy.

That wasn’t the only reason I didn’t like WoD, pruning a large portion of players abilities was the main one, and the amount of cheese specs being another (Rogue’s killing spree was an abomination, same with Hunter’s volley). And tbc/wotlk/cata balance wasnt bad as people say. No, every single spec wasn’t viable, but every class had at least 1 or 2 viable specs, and I’d argue the viable comps were more balanced with each other then than it is now.

there’s one for s2 and s3 too

i wanna do more dam, but blizz is keeping me from busting all over teams and killing them.

& Cata being the worst of the 3.

Valid critiques of WoD are:

  • Pruning was ridiculous. People forget that MoP → WoD removed a ton of iconic abilities.

  • Bots were rampant, it was absolutely insane.

  • Ashran was terrible and hated by most, gearing kinda sucked till the end.

  • Turbo, WWDK, Arcane Rmpal would legit make you want to uninstall the game in s3.

Outside of that the arguments of “scripted gameplay” are pretty baseless. You could make non meta comps work if you cared to, and you actually had to be above a cutoff for glad, tabard was 2.6, etc.

Compared to any xpac after legion I give it an 8/10 and would rather play that.

Oh, and a lot of the most well known and notable players from today that stream sort of started becoming known in WoD. Magnusz, Petkick, Dinoe, Drexia, there are more but those names come to mind.

Agree with each of those. Imo the valid positive that WoD has above all but MoP is the gearing system. MoP was peak gameplay and gearing for me with TBC being the clear worst, and a steady improvement each expac until WoD being the first step backwards

good times, I remember them posting here in the forums.

rip kittycleave (3s and 2s), it was fun while it lasted

True. Some of these were for the better though, imo.

I think if we looked at WOD as iteration 1 and just iterated over the same design and replaced abilities/added abilities as necessary the game could have been in a better place. It would have worked well with the new concept of hero talents, since these are mostly passives that could let you try different builds.
