The story and voice acting is out of a low budget Disney movie with WoW characters to make it feel like they still care about the lore they abandoned. The entire Covenant system including player powers being tied behind Renown is basically a Fortnite Battle Pass system. No one goes to Torghast after their first or second leggo and the Maw and TC is designed for people who hate actual content and want to see the same greyscale for 11+ hours.
