All the human options for classes are pretty dang iconic for them.

Given that the heritage armor is a big chonky armor set, I’d almost pick a class that couldn’t wear plate. Like a Priest or Mage. Just cuz it’d be cool to be a clothie class in cool armor

Within the limits of the game? Priest or Warlock.
Warlock because Warlock’s warlocking is op. You have a tank pet that is nearly impossible to kill under normal circumstances, and your self-healing is basically the best in the game.
Same thing for priest, except you don’t have a tank pet. You just have to keep casting Power Word: Shield.

Without the restraints, I would pick a druid. Lore says humans are basically goblins in terms of their relationship with nature in the druidic sense, so they can’t and will never be able to be druids. Obviously the Kul’Tirans figured it out, but only after generations of practice
and, basically, saying “sorry nature” for a few decades while praying to some pretty dark beings

 unless you hate playing melee, or like a faster-paced play style.

But if you’re old and slow, Prot Paladin may be right for you.

I had a draenei shaman main for years and years, my second toon was a survival/marksman hunter human and over time the human hunter became my obvious main character.

If i were to choose any other class for human other than hunter it would be a warrior.
