Newsflash bucko, just because I want to point out the disparity in tier acquisition rates doesn’t mean I don’t do or enjoy “YOUR” (god, what a stupid notion you have there) content.
So what is it? Do you feel tier should only come from raid? Or do you feel differently? Because I’m fine with tier only coming from raids, so long as it only functions in raids.
Sure, except we’re nowhere even close to people who exclusively do keys having a full set of 278 tier. We’re not even close to people who exclusively do keys having a full set of tier PERIOD, if they’re lucky enough to have any at all. What exactly is hard to get about this?
people in my keys who have 4 piece are pumping 15-19k dps on the overall. How can I even pretend to maintain threat on half the pulls? I literally have to run with a hunter for misdirect or people are going to be on the floor.
Also to the guy who said raiding is harder than M+, LOLOLOL, harder to find 15 people who aren’t braindead maybe. I’ve seen raids down normal with like 5 dps average under 5k, tanks who don’t know how to taunt. Each boss has like 5 mechanics tops, it’s a joke. I could sleepwalk through raid tanking, which is why I don’t like raiding, it’s boring, half my abilities never even get used. Mass entangle, typhoon or ursols, basically never used in raiding. Meanwhile player standing in poop, healers doing less than tank, still down raid bosses.
“add a M+ set” was right there in the title. yeah the request to make tier sets more readily available was added, but that’s more of a “well if you can’t do it right throw us a bone” option.
a separate set, for M+, in M+, was the initial, preferred solution posed.
I’m the original poster, either solution is fine to me. But you can’t introduce a 40% damage increase item in 1 content and make is basically unavailable to obtain in other content yet usable in that content. It’s dog water design. It felt bad in Corruption from RNG, it feels even worse in sets because there is even less opportunity to get it than Corruption.
There are 2 Tier drops per Tier Boss for every 20 players in the Raid and that scales up and down. So it would take a Mythic Raid Guild 10 weeks to get everyone their 4 PC just from Raiding unless they also do full clears of every other difficulty. It’s even worse for Heroic Guilds who not only get lower iLevel Tier but have less shots.
For M+ you have the Vault which is pure RNG but Tier drops at the Vault level AND can be upgraded with Valor.
In the end most players are going to finish their set via the Catalyst. You increase your chance by doing more things in the game but that’s how it’s always been.
Please blizz, m+ players are customers too. Raid or quit mentality needs to die. Game has evolved, some people don’t like raiding. Some people outright hate it, or aren’t suited for the social/time obligations of organized guild raiding on a schedule. Some people want to pay you the same $15 a month just to do m+ with all their game time and be able to compete just in m+, instead of raid, why are you putting obstacles in their way? Why should a raid logger have 50% better gear for m+ than someone who actually does m+ religiously? Their gear should be better for raiding… not ridiculously better for m+ too.
Same with pvpers… why should dedicated and talented pvpers be getting stomped in arena by a less skilled raider with 4 set while the pvper has no set because this vault rng is terrible? It’s silly.
If tier sets work in m+ and pvp, then we need a reliable way to get them at least a resaonable rate… not 2 months after raiders have already got them. I fill my m+ vault every week with max 278s and it’s never tier. What do you expect m+ players to do in the meantime? We’ll just quit when we get chain rejected from all groups because no tier luck from vault week after week. Creation catalyst needs to be moved up to next week asap, and not take a month to craft 4 pieces either.
If players knew how to heal raid it would help. My guilds raid last week we had 4 healers for 30 people, some people struggle to heal 4 man for 20 people. It’s not so easy to heal in a raid. See I can heal 5 man perfectly fine, but I can’t heal in a raid.
It’s not so easy to have less healing requirements unless they completely change how the game works and this may be what is needed. But how? Would they make it so the DPS have more healing spells of their own? How would you get DPS to even use them? Like how rogues have 3 defensive speels and a healing spell, but how many rogues actually stop pressing their DPS buttons to use their own defensives?
Too many DPS will just do nothing but tunnel, forget to use defensives and even forgo mechanics, than yell and scream at each other as to who has the highest DPS.
