See. now that’s a good idea.
You - “pvp servers aren’t popular enough for Blizz to make them.”
Me - “Blizz made pvp servers for SoD and they’re the most populated servers.”
You - “you need a better argument.”
Lol? Ok…
There are no unwilling participants on a pvp realm. That’s where most of you are confused. Don’t want to be “inconvenienced” by wpvp? Don’t roll on a pvp realm. Pretty simple.
It’s so crazy to me how people cannot understand a simple concept. Don’t like a pvp server? don’t join. It cannot possibly get any more black and white. Maybe they are missing the point that we are NOT asking war mode to go away. It can stay like it is.
I’m telling you man, pvers want to abolish the pvp community it’s been like this for years
Yet the ones sitting here having this discussion seems to be two loyal wow subscribers. They’re doing something right.
Been doing it for 17 years now. It’s great.
So where are your retail pvp servers? Oh that’s right, they don’t exist anymore.
WM = pvp server.
It is hard to believe wPVP people, when only thing which you do is to body camp low levels.
Very original argument. No, we don’t. And if it happened to you, that player probably doesn’t even play the game anymore.
You see this Buch? People are assuming and judging a community based off what was force upon us or what they seen a few times. So EVERYONE that pvp is a griefer apparently and because blizzard enforced warmode and went at the problem wrong it’s the new “Right” apparently. Grade A, interesting opinions. Yet it would not effect them unless they picked the server, WHICH I HIGHLY FIND IS POSSIBLE just so they can complain.
Everything I see from wPVP people is griefing, that is correct.
All my wPVP experience was unfair (maybe except 1%).
So yeah.
and that’s fine Eau, if it’s not for you it’s not for you pure cut and simple. However we’re not here to force you back into it. We’re here stating it would be fair to have a option. A solution for the COMMUNITY that does NOT appreciate what WARMODE did to US.
US = those that know what a real wpvp realm felt like.
If you love warmode more power to you and keep doing you. Nothing changes for you.
I could see that too lol. They complain just to complain at this point, maybe they enjoy complaining because their life is boring idk.
What if it was a pvp server where you could only attack someone within 3 levels of yourself, unless attacked first?
I want a pvp realm, but not faction pvp, every man for himself like the arena in stranglethorn.
I want to travel and quest and have to ask myself are these guys gonna help me or jump me.
Nothing is sweeter than dunking on someone 10 levels higher than you, though.
Right, even one level higher. It’s a good feeling
I think “had” is the important word here.
People often mention how much more socially interactive players were in the past, and how people got a ‘reputation’ on their single servers, and so on. Have you played on PvP servers in Classic? I have and I can tell you there wasn’t much in the way of community there. Maybe there was a little at the start when it was all new but after awhile it was every rabid individualist for themselves.
Guilds would sometimes provide that element of community but they do that anyhow. But beyond that I never saw any of that much-vaunted social stuff. Sure, it probably was once but the game, and players, have changed since then.
And when you turn warmode on, you make the same commitement. You know you have chosen to play in a mode that allows you to not only have to defend yourself from the world’s mobs but also from the other faction’s players. I have a couple of guildies who always have WM turned on (except when they join with the rest of us in WM off to do guildy stuff). They enjoy that sense of danger and challenge and WM allows them to do that - while actually being more social with the rest of us.
While I don’t do a lot of PvP, I have done it (and still continue to do when I am doing things like levelling a new character or doing battlegrounds - I have reached Honor Level 35), so I’m not entirely ignorant of how it works.
I don’t say that PvP servers shouldn’t be created - I say that I don’t believe they would work, and frankly I’d rather have the work time setting it up devoted to the wider game. I also believe that Blizzard removed them for reasons which probably have more to do with statistics than anything. If they were only interested in money, they would have kept them because they had to be earning $$ from people transferring off them when they became virtual single faction servers. If they give you one, then I’d shrug and say ok, whatever, have fun and all, and I’d never set foot there because I’m not all that much into the kind of drama and mayhem that would follow.
Thanks for being a reasonable person with a balanced take.
Keep on shootin’ knees, lil gnome.
Well, the lower level can attack first.
