Why play Classic when you can grind boars for 50 straight levels right here in retail?!
They talk about the importance of social stuff then kill it in the name of trying to stop spammers who won’t be stopped because they can just bot up a toon to 50 but it is genuinely frustrating and detrimental to the experience of under 50 players.
Why can’t they just make an under 50/low level section? It would be useless for the botters to try and sell to max levels because they wouldn’t see it. They still might try but honestly Blizzard needs a better approach to managing these things.
A combination of filtering for common keyword patterns like used in widely implemented spam filters in email systems plus trust levels or similar applied to accounts. If an account is over 4 years old it’s probably someone’s personal account and unlikely to be used by spam. If an account is 30 days old it’s much more likely to be a new account for spamming purposes. Simply make it so those newer accounts have their ads and such hidden upon a very low report threshold AUTOMATICALLY until reviewed by a Blizzard employee and apply this account-wide to such reported accounts. It would be mildly inconvenient for the occasional misreported new player but drastically effective at stopping this spamming.

Yeah. You can’t even do that in Classic!
In Classic you have to travel to different zones.
In retail (I WILL REPEAT MYSELF) you can literally kill boars in Elwynn Forest from 1 to 50. You might want to kill ANYTHING you see. That’s fine. The point is… you never have to leave the zone. I actually love that.
Oh plus at 10 you could start queing for things, but if don’t wanna deal with groups… just listen to music all night and kill boars.

Who is “they”? Certainly not Blizzard. They’ve been putting the screws on social, guild, and community play for years now and pushing people towards queued stuff instead.
You could spend your whole WoW life in Goldshire. And still experience battlegrounds, dungeons, and raids.

It’s not about the boars. It’s about shutting off your brain and grinding monsters from 1 to 50.
That actually sounds fun now.
I have leveled up 40 or so characters and have never had a problem with those quests because I have yet to find one that was actually required to do.
I actually just levelled a mage in Eversong Woods this week. I queued TBC dungeons and quested while waiting for queues to pop. I handed in my last quest in Eversong Woods at level 49, then waved goodbye to the innkeeper at Fairbreeze as my dungeon queue popped one last time.
It was actually strangely satisfying.

Is there actually a group quest you can’t beat solo while leveling sub 50?
The only one that comes to mind in SL is that stupid construct in Ravendreth
100% agree, decided to level a toon recently, full heirlooms, enchant’s etc cause i wanted to be a bit extra and pump numbers and 1 shot everything. Some of the “Suggested [3]” quests were rolfstomping me, i was the only person in the zone (was hillsbrad horde) it was middle of the day so no guildies/friends around to help run a /who just me put a note in general no response ended up just leaving them, but even then they scale so all i can do is hope that with new abilities and passives as i level help. Even if we cant use custom titles we should be able to list through the quest tab like we can for shadowlands elite quests.

im sure certain classes/specs can do different types of mobs so they can all be soloed technically just not by all classes. eitherway putting quests that suggest 3 people into zones that havnt seen 3 people in them simultaneously for a decade and having no way to find a group for them is dumb. but if you want a challenge, the durnholde challenge in hillsbrad gave me some grief on my lvl 30ish boomkin.
Guilds, friends, trade chat, looking for group channel etc. If nobody will help you with all those available, what makes you think anyone would join you through Group Finder?
Can’t all the nondungeon group quests you get when leveling be solo’ed?
What is that restriction for anyways? Just to stop people from using certain leveling exploits via the group finder and alts I would guess. Ruining the game for everyone is not a good solution if that’s the case.

… because Group Finder reaches across dozens of servers, maybe?
