If you are crest farming then form your own group. Don’t ruin other players experience because you aren’t going to get as many as you wanted in the key you signed up for. I’m glad they are banning people who abandon groups multiple times. If that’s you I hope your ban comes soon.
The post clearly states they are targeting a specific type of repeated action. A player purposefully leaving a key to derail / sabotage/ etc. they are going to do their homework on this one.
If you leave keys 40% of the time….yeah you might be part of the problem.
I have a better solution: Go back to the way CM’s did it. The dungeon could be reset and tried infinitely as many times to get a better time on it. Fudge up the first pull? No worries, just reset and try again.
This nonsense where one scuffed pull means the key is bricked and now you have to run the lower one just to try again is madness. Imagine spending 5 hours to do 3 attempts at a +12, when you have ++ and +++ 11’s under your belt. I shouldn’t have to reclear an 11 ive ALREADY proven I can do, multiple times, just to attempt the harder level.
It makes pushing M+ score unfun. It makes groups extremely picky about who they invite. It makes people extremely toxic and unforgiving because 1 wipe screws them out of hours of gameplay, and makes them go back and do the same things they’ve already done.
Imagine wiping on Queen Ansurek heroic, and now you have to go back and redo the whole raid on Normal mode to get another shot at it.
I don’t run M+ so no raging here. That said if Blizz says “if you do this thing we will ban you” it isn’t out of line of people to ask “can you tell us what this thing is exactly?”.
When you are talking suspensions and bans that really should be outlined very clearly and precisely. And probably placed into the TOS. Not a case of “when we say so”.
I agree with that I even said that not sure if it’s this thread or another, someone did make a good point though if Blizz gives us the exact requirements people will abuse it.
For example if they say “quitting 10 keys a week gets you suspended,” then people will quit 9 and after that they won’t quit anymore they will just sit until everyone else leaves.
Yeah, but you can’t legislate out griefers. Those people will always try to find that line. I’d rather the people that aren’t griefers know what the rules are.
Like I said I don’t do M+ and have no interest in doing it, so I can’t say what the solution is here. Just as an outside observer leaving people in the dark about what the rules and expectations are probably isn’t the way to go.
Im not though.
The m+ is around quite some time since legion and if youre not completely new to the game then you know how it works.
Meaning the 30min is cool, but if you have to do some megapull at the start of the dungeon with lust etc…and you wipe…on higher keys you just know its over. Even if you still have 25minutes left after that. Now those 30 min turns into “beign hold hostage” because getting ban is wildly different from depleting the key or losing on some rio.
I’m leaving the easy things for others. I choose to go to the Moonkin’s….I choose to go to the Moonkin’s tab target in this dungeon and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard.
