Sure, that’s a fair point.
idk if that’s accurate to what the devs said about it, or if that was a design goal.
Of course you could make whatever inferences you’d like from how you perceive SoD to be its intended design decisions, regardless of whatever the devs said in an online video interview. But, what they have stated is that “what Season of Discovery’s all about is going out and rediscovering the original World of Warcraft world.”
What simple reality is that? Now it appears that you are attempting to build a false narrative to attack and claim that that is me. I believe this is what people mean when they say, “strawman.”
This isn’t a particularly constructive way to attempt to define a problem. It’s rather confounding that someone would use defamatory language such as troll to describe someone while simultaneously making strawman arguments and attempting to persuade them that the lack of what they personally want is the definition of a problem.
In another context, for illustration one might say that they lack money, which is a problem, but not necessarily in the context of them needing to solve a particular thing, such as them being hungry. There are many ways to solve hunger, and though money may be able to lead to a solution, it isn’t a solution in and of itself. The problem is hunger, and a possible solution is a sandwich (type of food).
Anyway, at this point it might do us both some good to recognize that we simply do not agree on something. You seem to want to discuss your opinion or preference as if it is fact, whereas I see it much more as preference. You might say that pizza is better with olives, while I might say it’s better without, because I prefer simpler things. You can argue the virtues of olives all day, but that doesn’t change that it isn’t what I like, nor does my preference make yours any worse or better, fundamentally.
Again though…
