Redemption is a pretty central part of story telling. The entire Star Wars saga, The Godfather trilogy, The Green Mile, Shawshank Redemption to list but a few. All the major religions have redemption as a core tenet. There is no reason why Arthas can’t have a redemption storyline, just like there is no reason why it has to be successful.
