That sound when the last of the water is running down the drain of the kitchen sink.
Let’s be honest, there won’t be a sequel. But how/why do you think they would skip over the story of Warcraft 2? It’s pretty significant in establishing everything in WC3. There’s a reason Thrall had to rebuild the horde.
It had plenty of story. Fundamentally a good vs evil plot, with some extra twists of the evil demonic magic and a betrayal of the side of good by their expected saviour. Cool characters on both sides. Lots of chances for cool fight scenes. It is perfectly adaptable to a film.
That said, the movie itself doesn’t do a great job of it. And included some bafflingly strange decisions. Like why they cut the scene where the orcs actually explain how fel magic works. Or why they inserted that utterly pointless and entirely generic prophecy from Alodi. Or Garona’s makeup just being really bad, and looking like an affordable cosplay. Or why they chose to have Lothar be so young, instead of a grizzled old man! I like Travis Fimmel, but grizzled old man soldier would have been much cooler.
The one where you didn’t source anything and act like the same movies you breath about being ‘superior box offit hits’ compared to Warcraft made less profit in general so those cuts and margins would’ve hit the other films harder?
Stop talking to yourself, and there’s a reason you moved to personal attacks instead of arguing any actual points.
You’re not worth the time of a real response.
A few seconds to pop off a random response or a gif just to watch you keep making a fool of yourself gets enough entertainment for me, though.
You mean a leaking faucet, right?
Enjoy while I enjoy watching you endlessly contradict yourself.

Hmm wonder how this goes, really. Not sure why you and some people that (supposedly really dislike Blizzard and Blizzard related movies) are still subbed and posting here to post in threads talking about hope for another Blizzard movie given their last was actually, still, the highest grossing video game adaptation of all time.
Stop, you don’t need a source for everything. You could just be educated.
The problem, it’s too compressed. This should of been more than 1 movie.
I miss when you were human female, btw. You were cuter.
Ah yes, the old “Your point is invalid but I’ll do nothing to substantiate my own points while invalidating your own.” Despite one side giving direct quotes from articles and verifiable sources vs those that are not.
Aww shucks. Maybe again soon. I don’t actually play this character all that much, so haven’t been back to the barber in a while.
I really, really doubt they’ll ever even vaguely consider doing it again, let alone with them selling the franchise and the current state of the community. The movie was really bad and not very successful. People have already explained this, but some people are extremely diehard fans of this awful movie for reasons I won’t pretend to understand.
If they made a sequel, regardless of what was in it, it would get far less attention than the last one did, and that’s saying a lot. There is a 0% chance they will make another movie, so it’s really not worth thinking about… no offense to those that happened to like the movie for whatever reason, it’s simply just not going to happen.
Not really, just makes you a lazy person if you can’t be bothered to look up something so trivial. It should be common knowledge that if you want to sell a product, you got to advertise it and do placements. You don’t magically print money because something exists.
I’m aware of that, and the same costs also apply to all the other things in the listing, including ones that you, and the other posters in the thread claimed are ‘more successful’ or ‘more profitable’ yet made less profit than Warcraft even subtracting said costs.
Hollywood just makes progressive (communist) propaganda movies now. I am a 100% sure it will be about a Mary Sue, all the men will be useless idiots.
The main character will have a haircut like Teela from the Netflix He-Man.
Grossing doesn’t mean profitable margin. That is the key aspect. Let me go back to the Resident Evil movies for instance, which is when you hoped in this thread.
As individual movies you are absolutely correct, they were far behind on the total grossing. However, they did the cut with the margin allowing for multiple movies to keep on happening.
Now, if you look at Super Mario Brothers, which is the most popular video game character of all time, you’d expect it to be a success, but it was so, so bad, that it did mediocre, to the point Nintendo never wishes to make another Mario Brothers movie.
The mario example is what happened to WoW, people went see it in Movie theatres, because WoW is popular, but it was not enough. When you compile a total grossing versus a box office grossing, this means Q1 of sales. Overall, it is terrible.
You can probably find the movie in a Walmart shelf if you are lucky, but the fact it under-performed so bad means that the physical production was cancelled. Because the projection says, keeping on doing it, is a direct money lost.
So for Warcraft, if more movies were to happen, the projected total grossing should of been higher by at least 30 millions, and that’s just to cut even. In the end Blizzard did a better move to just swallow the lost, and liquidating the props and move on.
Than they introduced the WoW token to make up for their lost. (Joke for last one.)
You don’t substantiate any of your ‘profit margins’ with any of your claims, however.
Again, not substantiated even with their budget to gross was lower and their rating was again, barely higher than Warcraft for their original movie. Further, even the last movie made 91% of it’s money overseas so again a good bit of it’s money came from overseas, moreso than Warcraft especially later on.
The one that made less than it’s budget in box office, fullstop?
Not a very good comparison, at all sorry.
Doesn’t seem to be the case, from any information that’s been substantiated online. It just didn’t meet making a crazy amount of money like they were expecting, like perhaps WoW did itself from Vanilla-Wrath.
Nice that’s what I posted earlier. Here for the future btw, since I don’t have trustlevel legal.
