If the devs really felt cross faction queues should be opt in

They would implement an opt-in toggle for random queues; we already know they work thanks to Mists remix.

Until then all I’m seeing is certain devs (an a director) tying the playerbase to the corpse of the faction system under the pretence of a handful of toxic players whose toxicity they were quite happy to cater to and amplify for decades.

As is it’s just about convenient enough to give the pretence of improvement while still incredibly annoying to deal with the exceptions in many if not most cases.

Follower dungeons, in particular, have no excuse to be faction locked (what exactly is not opt in about these?)

I already completely answered this thread yesterday. The OP himself gave up

Why are you spamming now ?

Here is the thread where i completed proved with citations.

NO faction integration. Horde will fight alongside Horde only, we are not helping you slimy alliance.

i read ur messages and ur so called shut down is more like people arent dumb enough to keep arguing with you xd. But i am and i got time

They will add factions being able to queue together in given time theyve talked about it. So your little i dont wanna help slimy alliance is just saying you dont wanna help urself cause ur alliance now baby and this is coming from someone who only has one alliance char.
Pvp? doesnt matter guess what the color red exists and the color blue and it wont mean horde or alliance p soon.

Lore wise is completely solved we had crazy as mf orcs running the horde now we got daddy thrall who sees the light in one unified nation against a bigger threat. that was a plot point the whole time.

and my fav you tried to bring up the “having a better game play experience” see this is how i know you stupid. we can already play together. raid together guild together. How in any way shape or form is the orc fury war matter at all if its all of a sudden a human fury warrior. id go so far as to say you wouldn’t even notice.

just cause you like trolling and you have this preconceived notion that alliance are “slimy” in a fictitious story about made up races that dont exist. sounds more like your a salty longer term player that liked stompin on alliance in the old days cause no one played them and now its all gone and ur a shell of ur former self

I will end your whole argument in 60 words.

60s words you need that many? and how come you said i will and didn’t. opt in or not its comin homie there is 0 reason not to. Plus as less and less play they prob will have to. if they wanna split again they will write it in im sure but i doubt it

You have no idea. you a traitor. go play on Alliance. Now read and dont talk back to me. I gave you the TOP level citation.

What you say holds no weight. bark all you like, Alliance will feed you some scraps, boot licker dressed up as Horde.

Early in Dragonfly, Ion mentioned there’s no set date for cross-faction queuing, as it violates the opt-in part of cross-faction gameplay.

I am actually kind of excited to be able to talk about this one! So first of all, the reason that we have hesitated on this, and some of Ion’s thinking that he explained then and is still true today is that we really feel like if you’re a player who is super pro-Horde or pro-Alliance and that’s what you identify as… you don’t want to find yourself queued up with a bunch of random Alliance people that you didn’t sign up for.

Now that i showed you

here is an option that works for you and works for pro Horde players like me. Since you are already a traitor who does not mind eating Alliance leftovers. here is your option

we’re talking about now is trying to find a way to make it so that people who are in a full group can queue up as a group. They’ve already opted into that cross-faction behavior and then they can then play in a cross-faction group as long as they’re queued up as a full group. That’s what we’re talking about.

I could have ended this in less than 60 with just Daddy Ion’s statement but you wanted it to be full send ?

Now tell me who is going against that. Dont talk about my Warchief Thrall, with that mouth, Traitor.

OMG go outside. Touch some grass.

YOURE NOT AN ORC.

Jokes on you, I am an Orc.

Yall think you are all funny. You kill my Warchief and now you want to earn the loot on the backs of Horde ?

Your emo king can help you. Go to him, he will set up a raid.

Yes well, failure of genetics aside, youre still not.

Don’t make it personnel since you cannot defend.

You have an option which does not break the game, so three of you can play together. Use it.

It could only be personal if you were an orc. ^_~

So at this point is it safe to call this as a bait ?

Yes I handed you the L.

Nope. I’m content with the current system as we can access everyone for whatever groups WE WANT TO MAKE for ourselves.

Creating an opt-in cross-faction queue just funnels EVERYONE into the cross-faction queue to reduce their wait time.

This would not prove that people who WANT faction only queues are in the minority. It would only prove that people who want fast queues are in a majority.

No, it wouldn’t force that, you still have a choice. Unless of course it turns out that the playerbase cares a lot less about the factions than some devs seem to delude themselves about. That would be terrible now wouldn’t it?

I’m sure there will still be enough players for the faction brains on both sides to have a fine time. Besides they can always make their own groups.

If it’s a solution for them then it’s a solution for you.

And they currently don’t have to worry about it, so enjoy!
