If STV next PvP zone, ally need a small camp in the zone also

Not like Alliance was the locked faction or anything either, lol.

No matter what you say, the results speak for themselves. Also all the devs are Alliance.

Horde is wide open, but no one wants to make things harder for themselves.

I play both factions, or at least I used to. They were never equal, but damn, the SoD devs could have at least tried.

Everyone is playing alliance because we have paladins, that’s it. When Era launched horde was the dominant faction numbers wise and on most servers. If they had given each faction paladin and shaman for class parity then I would bet money that horde would be the bigger faction by far. Leveling is better, travel is better, quests and quest rewards are better, racials are better. Everything is better on the horde, except the rune locations in p1 of SoD.

Shaman is trash, Horde players talking about that too, but no one is listening.

They’re only good for tanks and heals, DPS is awful.

Alliance win most Ashenvales because they outnumber us, you don’t hear folks talking about that either.

No one wants to be on the underdog faction, and re-rolling now before the next phase is the best opportunity. People are doing just that.

Mark my words, Horde is only going to shrink.

My friends are all Horde and have stopped playing SoD for the most part, I’m right behind 'em.

Maybe Alliance were the punching bag years ago but that’s not the case anymore, no one wants to “lose” on purpose and faction identity doesn’t exist anymore lol.

Game’s almost 20 years old, and extremely tedious. People want whatever is fastest/easiest.

coming from an alliance player from classic vanilla to nearing the end of classic wotlk, the horde leveling is certainly not better, unless its remarkably better post 25. Almost all of the top leveling speedruns are alliance, 1-10 is elwynn and 1-25 are all gnome mages

hmm, do you mean like classic vanilla when you mean era? there were an insane amount of horde players, some for racials and a lot because retail is mostly horde. In terms of top level pvp and pve, horde are behind. Alliance smoked them in pve and the top wsg teams were all alliance, in small scale skirmishes, 1v1 or less organized groups, horde seem to win

That’s what happens when there isn’t equal access to classes on Era and paladin isn’t utter garbage. Class availability and strength will divide the population or end up with lopsided numbers on faction balance. I still think they should have just done SoD on TBC, scaled TBC content to level 60, and had it available as just additional end game content in a separate phase, then you’d have draenei and blood elves to give both factions paladin and shaman.

No, alliance questing sucks, there is so much running back and forth between different places to advance questlines for little xp, horde can level to 25 in the barrens with easy and simple quests, kill X amount of a mob, loot X amount of item from mobs, nicely clustered quest hubs, the alliance is a mess. And no, in vanilla, and in 2019 classic relaunch horde was the more represented faction. I don’t care about the most skilled or top level players, I mean sheer numbers horde was more popular.

It’s comical to see things listed by the alliance players they knew going into SoD on the pvp servers. While horde was absolutely screwed over in P1 on most of the SoD content.

You do realize that the barrens is as large or larger than Westfall, Elwynn, and Redridge combined, right?

And the similar leveled quests all the way through have you running up and down that zone.

Harpies (North west end) Same level as Pirates (Ratchet), Same level as Snapjaws (Stagnant Oasis) Same level as Samophlange (North East)

Then you get to the high teens where
Level 20 Harpy North West Level 20 Northwatch (Ratchet), Level 20 Kolkar (Wailing Caverns and Western Barrens), Level 20 Quilboar, Between Camp T and Xroads…

I’ve leveled humans and orcs a plenty… same amount of travel.

They wont add anything because itll force them to add it to Classic Era. The best youll get a is a portal or something.

Well, they sort of have to. A few classes have runes there and you need to go there for shredders.

A portal would be fine though. I don’t think anyone would be mad at a portal.

As someone who has done runes on both sides, alliance has it easier. Not even a comparison.

Dont worry! You are safe. I promise.

Yes I do know, I started as horde in TBC and didn’t go ally until MoP, so I am aware that you are traveling all over barrens, but you can load up on quests, go out and do them all, and repeat, and the zone is flat with few things in the way. The travel is far worse on alliance.

Oh dont worry youre going to get camped.

Duskwood, Redridge and Wetlands are all contested zone where you Hordies can kill any Alliance there, and yes they can kill you back too. The barrens on the other hand IS a horde controlled zone because Alliance cannot attack horde player there so you could just follow alliance players and prepare to kill them and they can’t do anything about it. This is the same with SFK.

A hunter can prepare an Aimed shot, multi shot, auto shot, chimera shot combo before they are even flagged

And plus, why does it matter what the other faction has? If you are unhappy then reroll, whinging because little Jeffy got a PS5 for Christmas but you didn’t does help anyone and the fact that Alliance may get it a little easier doesn’t effect you playing horde. In the end, everyone reaches the same goal and you only have to ever do it once.

Don’t worry SM will definitely have runes for most classes (remember at blizzcon when they “accidentally” put up SM and Gnomer pictures on the screen, they are definitely planning it make it more important ). You Horde players can delight in thoroughly squishing alliance players trying to grab their rune

It does have a second use of bringing you right next to the den to gank any horde silly enough to do those quests. The ghost walk back to the den is a good 5-7 minutes since the graveyard is next to the shredder area.

Its about the closest comparison of runback to SFK that we have currently.

I’ve leveled both alliance and horde characters in classic

Alliance has a lot more flying around with the Ony & Defias questlines… but horde has far more walking. By a lot.

(And I’m pretty sure the Defias Traitor makes it all the way down Westfall faster than that damned elf can get through the pirate area, even when it’s empty.)

Kind of crazy that this game is almost 25 years old and people still don’t know about the Horde teleport to Gnomer.

9:10 groups I’ve run as Horde there’s always seemed to be 1 person who didn’t know about it.
