If Seraphim can go then Steed can as well

The flood gates have opened. Sera was a major complaint many didn’t think would be addressed because it was in the class tree. Devs made a great move by replacing it with toll which was very oddly in ALL spec trees.

This means the class tree is open to changes, how about we talk about the horse’s potential changes or removal.

you have to make a mobility ability thats stronger than steed if you want it gone or just as strong. so gl with that

Steed is terrible compared to what we had before with wod movement so that would not be hard

With the MS micro spells it seems like we’re getting, horse might very well be staying. If we’re almost always at 120%+ MS, then having such a short duration speed boost makes sense. We would only need it in very deliberate scenarios as our base speed is fast enough to avoid most boss mechanics with proper awareness.

steed is better than speed of light and long arm of the law… literally its more speed for 5 seconds with 2 charges on a 45 second cd.

a different animation doesnt make it "better

I’d vehemently disagree. A proper LAoTL is, by far, greater than stead. The one they offered was a poor choice, but a moderate speed boost with a near 100% uptime is better than 100% speed boost only available maybe 15% of the time. It puts more responsibility on the player’s awareness to avoid unfavorable situations, but it means you’re always in a good position.

I’m convinced half of the people who hate Steed hate it because of the graphic.

If it made a rocket come out of your butt and launch you around like gunshoes or wings to shoot out of your boots, they’d go crazy.

And you clearly are ignoring the “We don’t want Rets to have Rogue mobility” because 100% uptime on a “moderate” speedboost is, indeed, Rogue mobility.

Steed at 5s, off the GCD is a perfectly acceptable mobility spell and inline with other mobility spells.

I’ll take Long Arm of the Law quintuple-buffed by Divine Toll!

it wouldnt work like that. it would replace the old laotl buff for the new one four times.

you are assuming new long arm will be a huge speedboost, it will most likely be a small passive speed buff. 10% or something.

Based on datamining it provides 20% movement speed for 5 seconds. Which as i pointed out in the other thread. Is basically unnoticable and practically negligible.

20% is anything but negligable considering we can acquire other sources of speed. Mind you, this isn’t a one abd done sort of solution, but a near constant MS boost coupled with changes to our kit, like the 30% slow on judgment, and increased range on our spells means we are in a position to dip in and out of mechanics without losing much DPS or relying on dashes.

Did they just pick Dusk and Dawn over Seraphim?

They really have no clue and are designing with a shotgun.

With 20% haste and the new talent that reduces the cooldown of Judgment by 2 seconds. LAotL works out to be the equivalent of 12% passive movement speed. And that’s assuming you are using it immedially as it comes off cooldown. But doing that means you might not be able to use it when a mechanic goes off that requires movement.

Also, active movement speed buff rarely stack with each other. But what other sources of speed are you talking about? That’s not a rhetorical question. I am drawing blank.

Well yeah, they specifically said they wanted to curb stacking damage modifires. Seraphim is kinda the main culprit of why Ret’s damage is trash outside of cooldowns.

Yeah, the new flat damage modifer talent, has nothing to do with it

all specs use dnd, ret only used seraph. plus prot has seraphim in the spec tree and likely holy will have it in its spec tree as well.

plus unfort. seraph was a hard cast cd button which they wanted to cut back on. i was lowkey hoping for the removal of ES but w/e

Steed is currently on the GCD right now.

If they took it off the GCD it would immediately be better then it’s current form.

DnD is more like Inquisition which Seraphim was made to replace.

Seraphim was never made to replace inquiz. It’s just a cd like wings

Not because we want to, but because we have to.

The talent is not fun, a burden to upkeep and unbalanced between the three specs due to how we all generate Holy Power differently.

It should have been the first to go, not Sanctified Wrath.
