I’m fairly convinced that there’s someone internal and high-up who has the ear of the people who make these kinds of decisions, and their primary issue seems to be, “If you make all this grind content I feel obligated to DO it to KEEP UP but I don’t have the TIME. Make it so no one else can grind this up faster, I don’t want other people to be MORE PROGRESSED in meaningless rep levels than me!”
It doesn’t help that their calculators are universally broken and now everything they put in is a rep-and-currency grind with a soft timegate where it would be impossible to “finish” getting everything with the initial droprates for years of gametime. There’s a toy in ZC that you can get by fighting every rare (EVERY ONE) with a transformation from an item that drops from one rare. That rare used to drop zero to two transformation items each time, who knows if that’s also now on the every-five-days list? Each item lasts 10 minutes, which isn’t enough to kill more than one rare unless you’re VERY lucky with the spawn timing and other people being around. You can also only use one item an hour and it expires on use.
You need to kill TWENTY ONE rares with this ten-minute-duration hour-cooldown item effect on you, that drops in small quantities from another rare.
