I have 26k followers on twitch alone. I contributed content for Dara Mactire and BlazingBoost. I averaged 200+ concurrents in mop. I have 50k on twitter and 66k on instagram. Come again???
oh boy, is this what people consider relevant these days? No wonder WoW PvP scene is dead.
You need better gear because youâre so skilled and revert to ad hominem. Great Argument you graduate from Daisy University?
You said I had 0 viewers. I make a living off social media. You brought it up, not me. This was never about my stream or relevance until you tried to attack it.
Make your own thread to argue about stuff nobody gives a droplet of water on.
Hey Fading hit me up, i want to get into some RBGs, i got rival xp in 3s this season but not very much RBG xp.
Mayhem#1265
2 warriors, one hunter. The first warrior dies so fast you might miss her.
As I said before, there is zero reason to take inexperienced players and also put them at a crushing gear disadvantage. None.

Hey! My btag is full unfortunately, but I queue with people in my disc community once a week on alts! https://discord.gg/uJRgBuxe
You and I both know why Fading wants better gear, and its to help be his crutch. If he really was about skill, he would be all onboard.
That never happens to me. Maybe like in wrath but I wasnât very skilled.
I guess my experience prevents a single player from coming in and stomping 3 people.
Iâm not going to try to read into anyoneâs motives here. I think people on the other side might have honest reasons for their position.
However, there are also the type of people who will buy carries in pvp or pve to get gear beyond their normal ability and then go and use that gear to stomp ân00bsâ in the BGs. Those people do exist.
TBF, they came after me. I was just waiting patiently at the node minding my own business.
You would have probably used a defensive during bladestorm and tried to CC me coming out of it. Now, the people who I pop instantly with a 15-18K aftershock while they are stunned. Not really sure what they can do about that.
Inexperienced players + power gap + overtuned damage = ?
I still donât think the power gap is extremely large. Skill and class imbalances are more of a factor. All I see from that video is 3 target dummies getting stomped.
Yes, itâs hard to say how much is from power gap and how much is from overtuned (usually covenant) abilities. But, put those together and you have problems. I think we will be seeing some 1v5, 1v6+ before this is over.
It will be like L60s killing low levels in Redridge mountains.
My cat comes when i call it.
You will never really know because the ability to overcome a gear gap is different for every person. The more skill a person has, the more of a gap they can overcome. When the skill narrows, that is when gear gap truly comes into play.
But even then, when I lose, I rarely blame it on gear even when Iâm low ilvl. I go, dang I should have done this⌠I greeded that way too hard⌠I under reacted to that⌠Iâm not like, dang my gear sucks.
I think its both,
though I think when gear starts to outweigh skill then there is a problem.
I think everyone should have the same accessability to the pvp gear, rather than using CQ to buy it.
I think the various ranks of PVP should only give titles and transmogs.
if the skill needed to win in bgs requires you to overcome a 2400 player who is 20-30 ilvls higher than you, then why doesnât random bgs offer the highest ilvl reward in the game? because according to basically everybody, there is nothing harder in wow than a casual in casual gear taking on a glad in glad gear.
bgs should be offering unranked players 245ilvl if we rewarded skill, effort, and difficulty of content honestly.
You can have that opinion, but i disagree.
You are opting out of doing a grind that others are doing. If you are going to opt out of it, they why should you be given the same rewards?
Why do mythic raids get higher gear than people in LFR? Why donât they just do the content in the same gear as everyone else and use their skill to overcome harder obstacles?
Gear is what wow is. I have no problem with it.
And this is coming from a person who PVPs with less gear than the average casual player.
that is a really good question. if you stop and think about it, there is no reason for Mythic raiders to get better gear than LFR.
on many console platform games, you have a simple 1-3 hit healthpool, boss kill mechanics are similar to wow, however difficulty is increased by tightening up things like timing or increasing add or deathbeam count or density.
gear is not power. you can look at armored core or other mech games to see how that works, you can have different parts that add different affects like haste or crit or master, but primary stats can be templated or equalized. you have thousands upon thousands of builds to play with and none of it involves making a toon that is statistically more powerful than another. each has a playstyle that a skilled player can draw out.
not really, if i play epics and wpvp, im basically just capped at 200. and that would be fine however everyone elses grind paths take them to 226+. not all roads are leading to rome and blizz needs to do something about it.
and i say blizz because the devs need to accept the fact that people just dont like some of their work. iâve met tons of pvpers who have zero interest in raiding or M+ or any of the pve game at all. personally torghast is a nice inbetween for me as i dont need a group and can treat it like an old school dungeon single player game with my wow toon, however looking at feedback it seems a lot of people hate it and call it choreghast.
creating new ways for people to play wow is the right way forward, forcing everyone into the new areas and making their current areas painful if they do not diversify is not. people will try things if given a carrot, but they do not appreciate a stick, sticks spoil the carrot experience completely.
