People like you seem to think that dragons being able to turn into humans was invented by Blizzard or by Dragon Lance or by Tolkein, Its okay if you have zero knowledge of the fact that there were stories about this exact lore that has existed in writing for well over a thousand years…
No it wasn’t invented by them, but they can have their own take on it. Not every dragon in every game is intelligent. Some are also just wild animals like wolves or bears and can’t even talk let alone form entire societal structures.
The take of Dragonkin for Blizzard is that they don’t have a single mammalian gene strong enough to procure having breasts and ultimately are reptiles. End of discussion.

I think they meant with this was actually sexual human dimorphism, like shoulder size, waist size, breast size, etc, which reptile don’t have. They are the kind of thing that those weird people ask when they ask for a ‘‘female’’ model for dracthyr, which make no sense. As you said, one of the major difference between reptile gender is the size and the female is actually the bigger one and dracthyr do have different body size.
Those people must also believe that female dracthy could appear more colourful to make them look more feminine even if most of the time, the male are the more colourful in order to attract the female…

im sorry, outside of maybe adding eyelashes or makeup options to apply focus for the feminine features, i dont agree with dracthyr base body being to different from one another.

Yeah, putting things like boobs on reptiles is something that infuriates me because it’s just so illogical. True were the Dracthyr to have been mammal hybrids then maybe it could have been an option, but they are completely reptilian as far as Dragons go.

In all seriousness, though, the solution is to make playable Drakonids.
As former mortals, they fulfill the draconic fantasy while maintaining sexual dimorphism.
Okay well then according to other existing lore about the dragon kins who can turn into a bipedal form that don’t have the breasts that occur naturally. It is done for seduction only.
Used to lure some in and then kill them. Current dragon lore, they actually breast feed. Used for lactation. If you lactate then you are a mammal. Simple as that. Reptiles get all their nutrients in the eggs.
There are female and male versions of the Dracs.
And I see where you are coming from. I really hope Blizzard releases a book about Dragonflight and in it we can find out if they are mammals or reptiles. Some dragonkin in actual lore breastfeed though. Which only mammals can do.
And also down to the fact that they have muscle structures similar to that of mammals as well.

Dragonkin can have varying levels of how draconic they are, I’ll give you that. From mere partial scales and horns, to even just horns, claws and wings. I play Dragoncraft main in Shadowverse I see that kind of artwork and depiction all the time and I love it.
But Dracthyr in World of Warcraft are not Dragonkin, they ARE Dragons, their visage form is called Dragonkin by the developers but that’s just a choice of appearance for the Dracthyr. In their true form they are referred to as Dragons by the developers and in the intro dialogue they also refer to themselves as Dragons.
Every definition of a Dragon you will find everywhere, generally speaking, is a reptile that can fly and breathe fire. But if it’s any consolation, I will confirm again that their visage is a Dragonkin and they can and do in fact have breasts for the females.

I’d think it would make more sense to have reduced scales, it would more appropriately show off some more of the mammalian traits.
I have like 2,000+ hours on Skyrim and the female Argonians having breasts always… well every time I was around them I could only describe the feeling as disconcerting. I have zero issue with the Dragonkin in Shadowverse having breasts for example because it just feels so much more easily acceptable when they have reduced scales. Less reptile more mammal and suddenly I don’t care if it has boobs.

What? Dragons make eggs they do not have breast in their true form only in a visage and well whether said breast are even capable of functioning as they do in mammals is unknown but highly unlikely

I wish we could have more defined dracthyr. Even if you go out of your way to spike and bulk up your dragon dude, they still look so…plain.
And don’t even get me started on how friggin’ weird their humanoid forms look. It’s like you pelted someone with glitter bombs until they fell into a vat of boiling paint.
Yup. They have the sap of the Hist in them fannies and that’s what they feed their young with. I main Argonian, the Hist stuff is pretty fascinating but also strange. Bunch of lizard folk worshipping a partially sentient tree and controlled by it.

Being that in reptiles and birds, females are generally the larger sex…
I would actually prefer if BT1 was slightly smaller, but had more customization options for beards or whatnot, and BT2 be larger with more options for ornate horns and such.
Ideally, taller, more gracile females and shorter, but chunkier and more robust males.
I think it would be a cool change of pace in terms of body type dimensions from every single other payable race at the moment, while not forcing people into a unisex form that, from what I can tell, quite a few people are displeased with.
You can have your nonconformance to mammalian sexual dimorphism cake, AND eat it too…

There are egg laying mammals that exist in real life. Monotremes. And in all of lore they really care about their young. That is a mammal trait. Not a reptile trait. And they are warm blooded too. Dragons are reptiles. These dragon kin are not. That is why they cannot bread with dragons as they are dragon kin. Platypus produce milk and lay eggs and are mammals. So I will be an egg laying mammal that produces milk next expac.
