Boosting and summoning should be banned under the same logic. The only change forum trolls seem to say about the GDKP ban is “I see less GDKP spam” which means: (1) there were a lot of people doing GDKP, which explains the population drop; and (2) there is even more summon spam and boosting spam.
The reality is anti-GDKP players are a bunch of sub-40, grey parsing trolls that post on the forums more than they play the game, and will never engage in honest discussion but rather repeat the same empty platitudes, and are likely sockpuppets of just a couple users (e.g., jacktorrence and bang dkps)

Because they weren’t fighting RMT, they were fighting GDKPs. You’re talking a couple dozen people per server capitalizing the system versus hundreds recycling bought gold under malicious motives.

On one hand, Blizzard could easily add portals for QOL into SOD.
On the other hand, that’s the whole reason I paid for a 2nd account and leveled a mage on it… because travelling is a PITA in classic. So it is the classic experience.
We had a raider in WOW Classic that had 3 account so he could summon people to Maraudon to boost them with a warlock and a mage.
No one in the history of WoW bought gold so they could get a summon to Orgrimmar.

Let’s look at this hypothetical situation from a human perspective
We can no doubtedly assume that the motivation for RMT comes from the pressures of desire within the game. When those pressures hit a breaking point, an individual may feel more compelled to break from their moral conscience and attempt to satisfy those needs.
With the warlock summons the virtual financial pressure is exerted by the desire to save time. We must place a value on that time, which we can use current global per capita GDP projections to estimate.
In the end I feel that the virtual financial pressure exerted by peer pressure and a fear of missing out is greater when coming from the gdkp raid community than from the value of time as a commodity lost through travel
In the end, if one were looking to reduce the pressure players feel to commit illicit acts and perform RMT, I feel that the greatest impact can will be achieved by banning GDKP versus eliminating Warlock summons.
