I still think that the April Fool’s Day concept that was ultimately implemented in HotS would have been absolutely fantastic as a way to introduce a beginning player to WoW. Having a “ride along” as you go about your quests and the like would be better than any of the pithy tutorials they’ve tried to whip up over the years.
It’s a concept worth revisiting, if they ever choose to be bold again.
