Eh… I’ve heard this input time and time again and it just doesn’t work for me.
And, to clarify, I have a Goblin Hunter specifically for this purpose. With Mechanical pets and everything
But hunter just isn’t a “Tech” class, it never has been, nor will it ever be. And that’s fine! Hunter is clearly themed off of Nature, Archery, and Animals. And it’s very succinct and developed around that theme.
I mean, Hunter has Iconic abilities like Serpent Sting, Bestial Wrath, stampede.
The Hunter Order hall is a beautiful, natural hunting lodge.
Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE hunter! It’s my second most played class. But it just isn’t remotely close to being “tech themed”
It’s nature and archery themed, and it’s damned good at doing that!
I’m always glad to see you fight for Tinker. Hopefully Mechagnome Tinkers are a bit more RoboGnome-Transformer than any other Tinker race. They already have the perfect Robotic forms, for their Mech suits.
If I recall, the Mechagon Gnomebots are actually fully robotized Mechagnomes. Could be pretty easy to fit into lore that these Mechagnomes are some of the former Gnomebots but rehabilitated.
Well I won’t say you’re wrong. It’s simply been the best answer that has worked for me. It’s totally not optimal though. I guess I think so due to the engineering/gun connection. But in a way you are right. Making the heals look tech did some for me, but the fact that mechanicals are the worst kind of pet really does suck, it forces me to use pets that don’t fit the theme just so I’m productive enough in a given instance. I have a tallstrider and a manasaber that don’t fit my theme AT ALL but I go off just the fact they are purple to TRY to make it work. If there was something better I’d be all over it, and I’ve tried mage and warlock on this race and neither felt any better and most often a bit worse.
Yeah, I love my robo-chicken and such but I can’t use them because of the insane levels of damage they take in water. I kept thinking something was bugged as I quested and had to keep reviving my pet after each pull.
My mecha chum you misunderstand your pets! We are mechagnome but that also means we have the intelligence of gnomes. Other more feral races like night elves might befriend wild beasts but the smart races truly tame the wild animals with science! As a gun using gnome that other races expect to use wildlife as a helper I assume you downloaded the biology and zoology databases to control your wildlife? If not I suggest implantation of a microchip to the feral beasts brain, much easier to control them that way!
I was unaware the mecha chicken had water proofing issues! That’s what you get for trusting goblin engineering, I suggest a mechanical sheep, trust Gnome made tech.
Sadly, robotic pets take continual damage from shocks when in water. Maybe the dumbest thing I’ve seen in the game as I float around in a shredder and mechanospider as a mostly robotic person and take no damage…
Well the robot in the picture has them tied up in a pony tail. But they could dangle if you want. Since Blizz has had plenty of practice with wooshy dangly bits on armor. Same basic thing
Just simple ones that cast the spell I want with a different, well, what do you call it? A different thumbnail? Anyway my heals on my bar look techno now, whereas before they looked all nature. I think it’s just as simple as making a /cast macro and then giving it whatever graphic that you want instead of its normal one.
I don’t understand why they made mount painting a feature only to ignore the player character. You can take a hard line on the transmog issue, but it means you gotta give the player a little more flexibility to match their exposed bits to their outfit.
The biggest issue for me when it comes to choosing Mechagnome over Gnome is the lack of hair color. I like the different hair styles, but it makes no sense to give us treasure troll hair only to take away the treasure troll hair colors that Gnomes have to begin with.
