If its a slaughter, don't bother

/afk out is a better choice than being farmed. Such is the life of Alliance.

No, actually it’s not. Take the quick loss. It’s the long losses, like when Horde successfully turtle and start the slow march north in AV or when Alliance don’t bother getting back to kill demos in IoC, that are the time to /afk

Sure, why stay around when you can afk.

Sure, afk out and have someone else come in your position.

Sure, just what that person wanted to enter, a losing match.

Now their time is wasted because YOU’RE selfish – because you can’t stick it out for a few minutes.

40 mans I can agree on. They take much longer sometimes. 10/15 mans will be over before deserter is up.

This is a good reason I don’t queue epics much lately. I stick out the 10/15 man losses, epics not so much but I hate to be that person who leaves mid match.

Depends. I usually stick it out but some matches I quickly lose interest in PVP’ing or playing WoW at all so I just log out after leaving. Deserter doesn’t matter when you’re not playing.

Nonsense. I go down with the ship, even on long losses. My staying saves someone else from getting roped in, and who knows, we might win… I’ve seen some downright insane comebacks before.

Except when alliance win BG’s, then in those cases it’s the horde who are stupid and cowardly.

Seriously though, do people really think factions mean anything? If you want to roleplay, do it in the roleplaying forums.

If I join AV I automatically /afk out on my 2 alliance 120’s. I have 3 level 120’s I try to keep Conquest Point capped each week. The time spent in AV for a loss just isn’t worth it.

For me it depends. Fewer than ~10 minutes left and I’ll probably stay. But in BfA I am using the AFK option way more than before.

[edit] Bad epic BGs where your team is a bunch of no-goods, I will take the 15 pretty happily.

Either there’s enough time to turn things around, or the time is short enough that I might as well stay. There’s no in between where it’s worthwhile to desert.

It’s not a question of “cowardice”. I just find Alliance players tend to be younger or more casual, and it is very frustrating to do Alliance side BGs, as it’s just a easy-kill slaughterfest for Horde. I play Horde, too, and don’t mind BGs because there is usually tactics being discussed, and strategy.
ALliance side, it’s just a crap-show and everyone calling each other names and blaming others for losing. I won’t even do BGs ally-side anymore.

This is also a good time report players on your team and your friends.

It’s luck of the draw. I was in Katmogu today, called the strat, everybody did it, and we destroyed the Horde.

I think raid nights are a good time for random battlegrounds for the rest of us.

I don’t leave because im not a quitter.
ive seen 0/3 turn to 3/3 when the other team has 2/3 caps
ive seen 590-100 alterac valley turn into wins.

Time is money and I’ll take 15 minutes of my time over playing with doofs anyday. :last_quarter_moon_with_face::full_moon_with_face::first_quarter_moon_with_face:

But premading is bad and wrong

I think we’ve been over this… :face_with_raised_eyebrow: Yes, it is more fun to play with a premade of friends, but it does give an advantage over solo queuers. An easy way to see that is to compare premaders’ win ratios to that of solo queuers’.
