Not really… back when I was on a data cap plan it was something I learned through trial and error… but that was a decade ago.
Use t mobile home internet
No data caps, excellent speeds, $50 a month
I gave Xfinity the bird when I finally received this, extremely cheap Internet at 5g speeds
WoW’s data usage is a trickle compared to an average 480p YouTube video. I’m still waiting for T-Mobile to put in a 5g tower close to my house, though. Also, lol Clark. 2.7 Terabytes? You watching 4k streams 18 hours per day?
Well I just bought a new computer so waiting for the game to install on it. When I was on Hughsnet it would take a week for a WOW install and that was when it was only 40 GB of data. Now it is 80 GB on data. Good thing I have WI FI now and just pay for gaming speed. Now it is only a 4 hour download. My computer was 8 years old and all the drivers were out of date. It was cheaper to get a new computer then to have it scrubbed and updated.
WoW is not bad at all for standard play. Downloading the game, PTR, Alpha, Beta, Classic, etc will eat a TON of data though.
I can also suggest, keeping a copy of Blizz games on external drive. That way you can copy paste it to a new device, or new install, and only have to do updates instead of a full download.
Streaming is what eats most of the data people use.
