Personally, I just want the third spec to be fun.
Dps Evoker felt like it was missing something, and I generally dont go healer.
Why are people in here talking with certainty like this died is in any way actually happening though?

I’m completely indifferent to the new spec. However, I’m very excited to play my Dracthyr Shadow Priest. Gonna look so sweet.
To be entirely fair, it’s generally a very safe assumption to make of other WoW players 
I would love it for tanks. But they stated in a few interviews back that if t hey added another spec it would be ranged. Although I think tank would be awesome cause earth and tankiness usually go together. And I hear it maybe related to deathwing.
When I think of him I generally think tankiness and fire and shadow.

Once you have some broad understanding of the game, the spec you play doesn’t really mean that much. Most people tank because it improves how much of your time playing is spent actively casting spells and attacks. I have mainly played druid this expansion, and guardian will pop in multi spec selection like 95% of the time. It’s in demand, so it improves your experience to use it. Evoker tank would be good for everyone.

I dunno having Evoker be able to be Tank Healer and DPS could be pretty cool! I enjoy DPS the most but there’s been a lot of people wanting a tank spec so clearly it’s wanted.
A dual wielding “skyreaver” spec for Dracthyr sounds like it be potentially cool to play.
As a casual player who enjoys questing in Tank specs, I struggle to understand your logic.

I kinda just wanna see a dragon with big armor and a tank spec. fits, seems cool aesthetically.

We barely see earth magic so it would be nice to get a tank spec based on the black dragonflight.

There is a class specific questline that was found on the ptr explicitly stating a new spec will be unlocked
If they backpedal now there will likely be hell to pay.
It stated nothing of the sort. It’s just as likely to be placeholder text for a scrapped quest.
While I would like for them to get a third spec for tanking with black dragonflight/earth magic, things found on PTR are never a guaranteed confirmation of anything.

That’s what I want to play and it fits lore within the Obsidian and Bronze flights.
So I guess my opinion cancels out yours.
Rofl do you think you are the main character? This game is played by millions and development takes years, but they are supposed to listen to your bad takes on a forum?
Literally every class added to the game after vanilla has been melee. They have also ALL had a tank spec. We don’t need yet another melee or tank added.
