If Elves are so hated

where are you from? You spell ears funny. Assuming the “hache” is silent?

Lol.
And it is silent.

(Couldn’t think of anything funny to say, so I gave up)

at least 50% playerbase are elves. Elves are the master race. Tolkien elves and LOTR.

Elves are originated from northern european mythology. Tolkien expanded their lore in his own universe, which is still a way ahead of anything else regarding elves.
They are a noble, proud and intelligent race.
Or we could look at the Warhammer universe, they are pretty same, except the grimdark part… I think we all know what I’m talking about

Too bad the WoW writing team bastardized the elves so bad, they didn’t even re-established the popular High Elven race, just slapped void elves with a flex tape on the Alliance players, lol. This game had so much potential, 3 faction wars, massive zone invasion events… yet PvP ended in a “We are all family” Vin Dieselstrazsa type of way.
Sad times.

People hate the people who play elves. Bunch of whiny, narcissistic, stuck up jerks. They make the community a cess pool. They also look like stick insects with anorexia and the derpy duck face is cringe worthy.

but i like you just fine. you have nice hair, a cute face, and a good transmog. also your name is adorable and your guild name is dynamic. you have great grammar and excellent lexicographical skills. you must be intelligent because you have designed a persona and speak on related topics, legibly, and successfully attract commentary. you’re just a bit frustrated with wow life and that’s perfectly understandable.

I’m frustrated with the way the majority of the elf players I’ve encountered in game and on the forums (not all but a big chunk) behave. Their behavior is disgusting. I’m even more frustrated that blizzard rewards that behavior on a regular basis. I take my frustrations out on the forums, perhaps not in the best way, but not everyone is rational in the heat of the moment.

Edit: there’s also a small bit of enjoyment in being rude to those who act the way some of these elf players do.

I feel this. If it makes you feel better, I’m not a BElf main. I’m a Tauren main through and through. (I refuse to corrupt my Tauren with the powers of Death)

well there are many possible reasons for behavior (this is a lightspeed alt, my newest dk). one is, because wow is an rpg, people don their character like a second skin. some create psychological profiles and then NEVER BREAK CHARACTER. if they are supposed to be snooty and rude, vain and frivolous, that’s how they’ll behave on any aspect of the game. i’ve met people like this on various rpgs and it can be overwhelming. its like method acting or something. or those beefeater guards outside buckingham palace. lol

That’s all fine and good, until it starts making other people’s enjoyment of the game turn miserable.

In most cases, from my experience, it’s just petulant tantrum throwing.

well i have a treat for you. its totally over the top lol warning not elf friendly. very toxic

I think I know what it is without watching it and if I am right it’s a spot on representation of elves/elf players.

Elves are def not hated. They’re delicious!

Personally I think if they had a size-scaling for the orc shoulders, a lot of mogs would look a lot better :face_exhaling:

I get a sore back just by looking at some of their ridiculously huge shoulderpads sometimes. lol

  • That or imagine swinging a sword and comprehend the shoulderpad bonking me in the face, squishing hard against my cheek so much I have an eye closed & can’t see where I’m swinging it.

I get that “realistic proportions & physics” hasn’t really ever been World of Warcrafts forte — However some small extent of it, would still be nice & aesthetically satisfying time to time.

Speak for yourself.

We definitely need plate armor sets that scale better on Elves. This Pandaria set I am wearing is about the only decent one.

Elves have such an easy time to make transmog look good. Have you ever tried to transmog a Tauren, Pandaren or Goblin/Gnome? No? Then good luck.

… are you suggesting you attempted something inappropriate with me, while referring to yourself in the third person?

Because no.

Because elves are one of the most iconic fixtures of high fantasy. The way the Nightelf race lore fits into the Druid class theme is just good as it gets. As for bloodelves, everybody has their issues I guess.
