If Demon Hunters are all elves

We would be the skinniest demon hunters of them all.

you’d also be ideal candidates really.

Have demons screwed you over? yes

Do you hate them? yes

would you like a magical source not from a magical fruit, well ,etc? yes

Come on in…we lost a few peeps over the years and in legion. I see no reason why we can’t recruit at least the nightborne. VE I’d like too…needs lore makeover since not sure about the void and such.

Nightborne though are pretty much plug and play really.

I second this

Surprised that term hasn’t been used somewhere what with the umteen demonic variants of elves we have, but apparently… nope. Hasn’t actually been used.

Question is, should it go to the Demon Hunters, Kael’thas’ demonic Felboods, the Fel-charged Shaldorei, or the original demonic elves, the Satyr?

since an established playable class…the demon hunters.

So we could get the NE and BE under 1 race. So we could be at least be consistent. As in all one side.

BFA irks me with the illidari as apparently we had a civil war. An undocumented civil war no less. Quick one too. all our story falls apart on a boat ride to KT/Zland.

Confuses me on my horde DH as all in all…if I could choose I’d choose alliance. Not for the Anduin/Jaina crap (not great story alliance side either). Even this char is not 100% on board with that. Its the story I have…so I play it as no choice really.

It’s more like My horde DH has killed demons for less than what Sylvanas has done really. Yet until saufang bit gets more released…I follow her. Why? a question I often ask. Silvermoon no longer guides a BE DH imo. Lord illidan plans does since he is off being a jailor anyway.

Considering that elves are very popular, I don’t see your point.

What about the gnomes?

There is only one gnome DH that I’ll ever accept into my heart. All others are fake imitations.

What about the gnome*?

May be a toss up with the Fel’blood Elves for the title.

I’m sure Gnomest would be overjoyed.

waait, ren’dorei aren’t elves tainted by the void?
like…
mixing two corruptions wouldn’t be very unsafe?
I kinda remember fel was used to counter void (at least, I guess Sargeras tried to, but the others, not so much…)

It would be fun if a dying Ren’dorei DH would explode apocaliptically, buuut I guess the one dealing the killing blow would think it be so fun…

Actually lore wise theres a small percentage of races who are demon hunters.

for instance… There’s a human npc that is a demon hunter out there.

Here’s hoping for that. Worked hard on that name :exploding_head:

I believe there were a few times during the suramar story where a particular group amongst the Nightborne were actually referred to as Fel’dorei… they were the Nightborne who became Fel corrupted.

They all seem to go shirtless, so Hunky’dorei seems more appropriate.

If this is wrong I don’t want to be right.

I hear you. On my NE DH my head cannon is that she’s deeply disillusioned with Illidan’s utter disregard for anyone else, given how freely he sacrificed us and then in the end abandons us for his own desire for vengeance. She is rudderless for a while and then Tedrassil happens. Gone are the horns and the tattoos and now she’s a hybrid as a “dark” elf but with the unmasked green eyes. Essentially she’s very revenge driven rather than from her own beliefs.

It’s not a particularly good bit of head cannon but it makes playing her feel much less forced.

Is it just me or are Demon Hunters completely out of place in this expansion.

In Legion we’re all fighting a common foe. Then BfA hits and all of sudden, DH’s go back to racial allegiances forgetting their bonds with their fellow Ilidari?

Daddy’s gone now so the kids are running wild? They have no sense of purpose now that the Legion is defeated so they go running back to their racial leaders?

I feel like Bob the Blood Elf DH and Nancy the Night Elf DH would be all “What the hell we fighting for?”
