If Blizzard really wanted the digital Blizzcon sales to explode

…all they would have to do is announce that Chris Metzen was doing the Opening Ceremony.

Hell, even I would be vastly tempted to cough up the money to watch him live.

The voice of Thrall, the heart and soul of World of Warcraft. I miss you, Big C.

I… still wouldn’t care. not even Tenacious D could get me to buy a ticket.

I already knew Metzen and the other old guys in Blizzard weren’t running things the minute Kul Tiran, Zandalari, and Void Elves were considered the flagship Allied races to get people excited for BfA.

Over the last 10 years we’ve have had hundreds of threads dedicated to Ogres, Vrkyul, Arrakoa, Silver Covenant, Fel Draenei, Broken etc…

People would’ve lost their minds if BfA had those announced. Since it’s the Battle for Azeroth, a faction war themed expansion, so you’d expect the former WC2/WC3 and earlier xpac races to get involved.

Whoever runs things now isn’t a long time Warcraft fan, probably someone similar to the “Don’t you have phones” guy.

…what?

I would expect races that have something to do with the story to be involved.

Guess what? They were.

Personally, I am happy they didn’t ruin WoW by adding in a bunch of races that have nothing to do with the story, and would destroy any relevance of factions and make a portion of the playerbase not happy.

That’s a good joke.

Almost all races you suggested have nothing to do with the story of BFA or Legion.

Ogres and Vrkyul would have to be nearly ruined to be playable, due to size. Tauren is basically the limit on a player character’s size. They aren’t going to go larger. The entire aspect of ogres and vrykul is their size.

Arrakoa, High Elves haven’t been relevant to the story.

Fel Draenei? You mean the demons from the Burning Legion? No justification for them being added.

Broken I will give you, as the only race you suggested that would have been plausible as an AR.

I’m not really sure what your point is here.

  1. Arakkoa and Fel Draenei (?) don’t really have anything to do with Azeroth, why would they be an allied race for BFA.

  2. The older devs had ample time to include Chungy Bois, Skesis, Sad Draenei, Knock-Off Vikings and Blue Eyed Blood Elves as races for other expansions but they didn’t do it either.

Your entire response demonstrates to me you know nothing of how the game works. Since you don’t even know Tauren are canonically 3-5 times bigger than they are in game, and are simply shrunk already.

So I’m just going to assume the rest of your post is you just talking out your butt, since you never bothered thinking more than 2 seconds about any of this subject.

Wonderful way to find a way to completely dismiss everything a person stated.

So. Lets think about this for 2 seconds.

In game Tauren are of a specific size.

In game ogres and vrykul are of a specific size.

I am saying the current model of ogres and vrykul would also have to be shrunk. You wouldn’t get to play the in game models of ogres and vrykul that people are asking for. They’d be runt versions at best.

But sorry, we went beyond 2 seconds of thinking, and hit the 5 second mark.

Their in canon size has nothing to do with anything I stated. But once again, this goes beyond the “2 seconds of thinking” barrier. Maybe set higher standards.

I’m pretty damn sure people would take a scale cut to play their favorite race. You are arguing an impossible position, that people would quit the game over getting the race they wanted to play, but able to fit through doorways, vs no favorite race at all.

Please stop trolling with absurd arguments.

Rexxar, the leader of the Stone Maul clan and Vereesa Windrunner the leader of the silver covenant, aka High Elves and Ogres Both have had more prominent roles in BFA than Overlord Geya’rah and Moira Thaurissan have. And by that I’m pretty sure they’ve done nothing but be the intro when a player creates one.

Ogres and High Elves make way more sense to be brought in now than Mag’har orcs and Dark Iron dwarves do in bfa. They’ve also been a part of the factions lore wise already.

So far all the allied races have been questionable at best and the ones that do fit should probably have been just customization for the races they mirror.

But that isn’t my argument at all. I never stated people would quit the game over runted ogres being added.

Please stop making up statements and lying about me.

Rexxar is not an Ogre.

Honestly, they DID involve TWO races that had next to no reason to even exist, let alone get involved except that the developers just “wanted them”.

Void Elves and Mag’har Orcs.

Doesn’t matter how they came in, where they came from, or why they came in, what matters is the fact that they came in so suddenly and without ANY HINT of a mention whatsoever.

Then there’s the idea that one of the races was supposed to be COMPLETELY locked away behind an AU. If THAT barrier could be broken once, then there’s not a reason it cannot be broken again – especially if the reason behind doing so a second time involves a threat to THEIR reality as well.

Not a pure-blooded one, but he is still considered one just as much as he is an Orc… Not that I agree with it personally… -_-’

So if anything, Rexxar would be a push to had half breeds, not ogres.

You don’t offer anything constructive, you are just a contrarian troll. At least if you were a paid shill like some of the other planted contract marketers you’d make some money on the side.

You should look into it on the Blizzard careers page.

So weird how fast and quickly you jump to personally insulting a person for doing nothing but disagreeing with you.

I find it telling.

Half ogre…and the leader of the Ogres. And the player wouldn’t be playing Rexxar. They’d be playing a Stonemaul Ogre, who is lead by Rexxar. Who has have had quests and been in cut scenes in BFA. Where as Overlord Geya’rah has done almost positive nothing.

As long as they get custom rigs, I don’t see a reason not to, but knowing ActiBlizz, they’ll find one or make one up.

I find your post history telling.

Does he really lead them though? I can only find references to Rexxar being a former leader. Not the current. I will admit that particular lore isn’t my forte, but I’ve been trying to find out more information since I believed Rexxar was more with the Mok’Nathal clan.
