Over a race? No. Over abysmal and fanfic-level inconsistent story telling? Yes, since that’s what prompted me to stop playing barely into SL. I keep my sub active because who knows, it might actually happen that the writing changes, that the writers and whoever keeps telling them what they have to shoehorn into the game are changed, and that aspect of the game gets good.
If Blizzard did with worgen, pandaren or vulperas what they did with Night Elves, because of a bad fanfic, yes I would uninstall the game.
Hate to break it with you, but the Gilneans’ primary population center after Sylvanas slaughtered them wholesale the first time was Darnassus.
People get tunnel vision on the Night Elves getting slaughtered in Teldrassil, but Sylvanas made orphans of two Alliance races at once, not just the Night Elves…

You are posting on a Kul Tiran, which clearly is not the first race you ever played. Why would you assume that the majority of players play one and only one race?

If Blizzard deleted Night Elves, I’d hope they’d replace them with Ogres.

I honestly would care, I’d just pick another race.
No as long as Night Elf is the Alliance one. Lets finish that up and we can sacrifice anything on Horde side. I’m cool with it.
No, I care what my character can do, not so much what it looks like. They could replace it with a generic stick figure, and I’d still play it.
I accept. Especially if that race is vulperas.

Yeah, and I’d extend this to other folks in this thread stating they’d fly west if their race was 86’d
For me, I’d find another race for paladin. Maybe I’d migrate to dwarf?
No more night elves? Nah I’d probably still stay
If they got rid of Gnomes I would be gone so fast I’d get a call from Cern.

On my main server, I have every playable Tauren class.
If they removed Taurens, yes, I would indeed stop playing.

I would quit even if I didn’t play as the race they decided to chop.
It would be nothing less than the sign of absolute insanity on the part of the game devs to remove a critical means through which fractions of the player base experience the game. It would be like if one day Diablo 3 decided to just remove a class, or if Starcraft decided that Terrans are no longer playable.
This would be the moment we could actually say that the game devs no longer care about the game.

I don’t understand the point of the thread. Aren’t there enough reasons to ragequit the game without dreaming up hypothetical scenarios that will not ever actually occur?
