and there, ladies and gents, is why the devs have messed up the game with their lets make the horde the cool faction and downplay the alliance as the boring, uncool faction.
brocknor, dude, listen, come closer, you listening? believe it or not, beauty and beautful things are not bad. in fact, handsomeness and various forms of beauty are examples of symmetry and balance. its only bad when used specifically, as a tool, to hurt other people.
for example, using your good looks to pacify an enemy while someone else is preparing to attack your enemy. this is not a problem in wow. guys dont stop dead in their tracks to admire a beautiful male or female character, in a bg or arena or warmode. they know better than that. they know the likelihood an attractive character in game is just as likely to be some ugly old retired grandmother (referring to myself) , and not some luscious babe or handsome male from a magazine.
what you think is equivalent to cool, et. al, the idea something must be unbalanced and chaotic, is actually bad for your brain. your brain is a binary mathematical instrument. it translates visual and other sensory data. the closer to balanced symmetry the object being viewed is, the less strain it creates on the brain.
the farther away something is from symmetry, the more stress it puts on the brain. this type of stress is actually slowly depriving you of intelligence. it’s devolving your brain, one strand of dna at a time.
this is why we as a civilization should never embrace chaos and imbalance. it happens yes, and that’s not bad in and of itself, but to embrace it as cool, is dangerous for you as a thinking binary mathematical instrument.

In fact, in your attempt to be intellectual, it apparently went right over your head that what I described was an APPRECIATION what for OTHERS consider “ugly.” And I keep putting it in quotes because it is an entirely subjective term.
Despite all her popularity, I think Kim Trashcan is UGLY. Never understood the appeal, other than she gets nude on command, but any $2 wore does that. She’s not special there.
I love the “ugliness” of the Horde. I find INCREDIBLE beauty in it. As I’m sure my brothers in arms would agree.

no you find beauty in the IDEA of the horde - a rag tag band of diversely different individuals surviving against the environment. dont tell me you think people who are so badly hunched over they look like they’d be in pain if it were real life, is beautiful. sure you can love someone despite deformity. i have a deformity and hubby still loves me despite it. but he sure as heck doesnt love the fact it causes me discomfort.

i’m talking with a friend off the board right now about how beautiful i think hunched orcs are and that my alliance toons would be hunched too if they could be. i LOVE dekkar and the way he hunches and everything about him.

eeek. thats actually a malfunction of the body though. he’s not supposed to be hunched. that came from enslavement. heavy work loads and so forth. it wasnt the result of good health thats why upright orcs are less of a strain on the brain, cause your brain even knows.
we are our scars, no doubt, but we dont have to act like they are good in and of themselves, only the wisdom they impart, if any, has any lasting value.
well of course, thats all contingent on whether you are a person who likes pain. i’m not a fan of that.
