Which class should get it? Seems like a Priest spec to me, but what do you think?

Possibly. I could see warlock getting it, too; it’s very Dark Arts.

I’d like to see it have a frenzy type spell, where you can get enemies to fight each other Skyrim-style.

I agree. It could be the DK caster spec some people have wanted for ages.

It’s closest to Blood Magic, so Mage.

But I doubt it will go anywhere.

Warlock Healer, I think harnessing dark energies suits them. I could also see Mage; it’s not really clear if Astalor is a Warlock or a mage without morals.

If you ask me every DPS-only spec NEEDS to have a spec that can either tank/heal added to the class. Tanks get instant-invited, healers don’t struggle too much, but as a DPS it’s genuinely a horrible experience if you’re not the FOTM class/spec, and Warlocks/Rogues/Mages/Hunters have no choice but to suffer it or abandon their entire character.

He’s a Magister. And he’s mastered a lot of different magics, including Blood magic. Anguish isn’t that far off from it.

Anguish is the magic Astalor is trying to harvest and use when you do prey hunts.

As said before, it has similarities to blood magic.

Anguish Paladins are just Retribution Paladins that have given up. Instead of pursuing justice they just sit at home and post on the forums.

I could see Warrior getting a spec for this. Imagine they bring back the gladiator stance with this.

Because Mages are the ones who mastered Blood Magic. AKA: Blood Mages. Which are already in the game. And Astalor has also mastered Blood Magic. He’s a powerful Magister.

Anguish closest to Blood Magic. Blood Mage. Mage.

Death Knight is the class that canonically has a need to cause suffering in others. An anguish spec would be right in their wheelhouse.

Also already do blood magic. Which seems anguish adjacent.

for sure an evoker spec, as they have the anguish of being essentially a one spec class ever since aug came out.
