This is probably the reason.
Most-likely the paths are ‘generated’, pick to points and make the gryphon/wyvern track along it.
They might go through and alter the generated path a bit to avoid clipping issues. But a path from Moonglade to Darkshore would require pretty much scrapping the generated path an making one by hand.
What’s odd is they would send you to Everlook instead of putting you on the same path that the druids get, which is from Nighthaven to Rut’theran. And then connect you from Rut’theran down to Auberdine.
