Ideas to fix epic bgs

You can’t imagine Blizzard banning people for abusing an exploit?.. They do it all the time when it comes to PVE. Seems more like you need to believe this because it will affect you personally.

Lol, what? What is your obsession with me? It’s weird.

I can’t imagine them banning people for something that has been a part of BG communities for… Ever? Since Vanilla, I imagine.

Should it be allowed? Of course not.

But it has been.

You’re posting on a public forum.

Ya no, thanks for proving you don’t actually know what you are talking about.

No, it has not. Hence why people need to exploit to do it.

Dude are you blind? Its usually over half the group that leaves!!!
Stop it.

Dude you are so blind. I dont know what Epics youre running but in the ones I do over half the players bail out at the first lost team fight.
SO youre saying youer ok with more than half the epic players never queing up again?

Enjoy you epic que times and ghost town BGs.

Pretty confident I read about people doing similar things even back in Vanilla during the High Warlord grinds. I could be mistaken. This topic has definitely come up years ago, though, well before this expansion. The AddOns seem relatively new, and I’m not super familiar with the mechanics behind the process, but the idea to hit the join queue button isn’t new.

Okay, how many people has Blizzard banned for it? Because if it’s 0, then it’s certainly, absolutely, for a fact, been “allowed”. Exploits are exploits and always clearly go beyond the intention of the game. Queue syncing has always been arguable for both sides.

Hell, playing with friends should be encouraged. But that’s my issue with queue syncing. They’re not playing with friends, they’re not trying to have fun. They’re trying to farm gold and be toxic and they’ve developed a whole process to do so. That’s my biggest issue with them, they simply make CASUAL PvP a nightmare for people trying to… PvP casually.

You’re aware that the entire point of proposing stiffer penalties is to DECREASE this behavior, right?

I don’t want people to be unable to do BGs.

I want people that join my games to stay, even when they’re not being carried to a win. I don’t want to backfill any more BGs. Do you enjoy that? Entering BGs that are 4 minutes into a hard loss?

You’re welcome to disagree, but it’s not a hard call on my end. People that ragequit losing BGs on a constant basis (To be clear, we’re speaking of people that are leaving SEVERAL BGs a day, not someone who gets fed up with a premade, or someone who has to go unexpectedly) are not needed in BGs, aren’t helping queue times (Again, you have to remember these BGs are backfilled. A lot of the queue times being low isn’t as helpful as you think if the odds of getting into a free loss are higher than they should be) and remove the fun from the game.

Quality over quantity, generally speaking.

EDIT:

Found a post from 2018 about people doing 30 man AV premades after only a few minutes of searching. So it’s definitely not new.

Epics didn’t even exits back then… people did open world pvp.

No you are mistaken.

Correct, back when blizzard got rid of raid queueing, and disabled an addon that allowed it. Huh must mean they didn’t want people doing it.

Nobody has ever said the idea of hitting the queue button is new…

So as long as you get away with cheating it’s not cheating? That’s your argument just fyi.

Nobody is saying playing with friends shouldn’t be encouraged. People are saying exploiting should be punished.

Yet you attack me for being against it. Can’t have it both ways.

Did you just say Epics didn’t exist in Vanilla?

Haha. That’s cool.

Are you trolling at this point?..
Altirac valley was the first “battleground” to come out. But it wasn’t an “epic battleground” and you could join in raids. We aren’t talking about that.

It’s very clearly what we’re talking about and your rapid backpedal on the topic is hilarious. You clearly thought only world PvP was done in Vanilla. All an epic BG is is a 40 man BG, lol. It was a 40 man BG. The end.

Also, reading up on the topic, it seems queue manipulation, community manipulation and general BG manipulation were all in fulllll effect in Vanilla without any Blizzard crackdown.

I’m not sure how I feel about how many of today’s conversations about changing BGs were started 20 years ago. I might need to start rethinking my already low hopes for Blizzard’s perspective on community interactions with BGs, haha.

Incorrect.

Nope, I never said that. World pvp was done a lot before they added battlegrounds.

Nope, they didn’t have “epics” back that it was just a battleground.

It will not work. People will just stop doing EPICS… Youc ant force people to do it your way. There are way too many other games and options to do that.
Punishing a video game player to force them to waste 45 minutes being farmed in an epic BG is just HORRIBLE game design.

The tighter your grip the more players will slip thru your fingers.

This games fan base would buy a gold plated turd off the blizzard store for $1500 and sell out in minutes. The game needs tougher punishments just like every other MP game has. If you want a care bear experience go play a single player game on easy settings against bots. Being farmed is part of the learning curve to play better or don’t play at all. Nobody complains when they are doing the farming for a reason.

You can nullify gy farming by adding a timer to match length and a immunity bubble to each GY, which blizzard would do if it really was a huge problem, because it’s not.

… you’re kidding right? Yet more proof sync exploiters need to be completely removed from the game.

Adding a stacking penalty that begins to stack up if you’ve left X out of your last Y games and/or left a certain number of games within a certain time period would be good.
If people constantly leave battlegrounds, they should not queue up for them.

However, the maps themselves and the queue system also need fixes. These are not mutually exclusive things.

Most players would rather quit than try and bridge a 20 year experience gap just to be able to compete in this games PvP that is still broken even beyond that cause of class balance.

Yeah that’s cause it’s human nature usually to laugh while somebody else is suffering and then panick when it comes for you.

And you can see that in premade v premade. The team that is doing the farming thinks it’s great but the other premade losing “whines” just like pugs do when faced with the same situation.

If 20 years experience really mattered in this game, then everyone who indulges in pvp would be a gladiator every season. People rather have everything handed to them than invoke any form of effort in anything these days and has been that way for awhile now.

Rip Live Leak.

There’s a reason most online competitive games have a form of matchmaking, even if very loose.
Putting a premade group vs a random group is not fair and not healthy for the game.
