Ideas for Roleplayer focused content,

Instead of optional surname, just give us spaces, hyphens and apostrophes.

Trolls and Draenei do not.

Which is better served with spaces, hyphens and apostrophes as options.

If you’re okay with spaces, you’re not opposed to surnames then. You probably should have opened with “it would make more sense to allow surnames by allowing spaces rather than forcing a 2nd name”.

Edit: sorry, read that in reverse, I see you’ve mentioned it in that post at least, although you still probably should have opened with that instead of making it sound like you don’t support the idea at all.

What would a space do that a second name wouldn’t? :stuck_out_tongue:

Surnames alone are limiting. It’s a second slot for a name and not choices. Simply giving people the option for a space, hyphen or apostrophe is more open to more choices and more names like what we actually see in game.

Us roleplayers make our own content though. One thing that would be fun would be an option to name our mounts, so that you see the name when you mouse over it. Granted, I can also see why that’s not a thing. (We can do so already with TRP.)

Edit: I know of another thing though. In addition to normal/Heroic/Mythic for raids/dungeons, a roleplay mode. Where no one gets any gameplay benefit–the dungeon has NO mobs, and more can enter into the instance than just five or 10/25 to a limit. It’d be really fun.

Also, entirely optional housing that professions could contribute to.

To me, this WOULD be content. This would be a PART of said expansion. I’m sure others would view it the same. You’re never going to make anyone happy but if they introduced PROPER housing in another expansion, I’m sure there would be more positive responses than negative. The very loud vocal, grumpy people who feel the need to spew negative constantly on the forums are in fact, the minority. Everyone else is in game playing.

More animations would be great, particularly idle ones. I’d love to have the option to hold a salute, or fold my hands behind my back. Headtracking was a step in the right direction.

I wouldn’t mind some way of making characters more “inspectable” so that people could have more ways of passively making available a little backstory about their character or display loyalties for any curious people-watchers. Just a few more little things to make us more interesting entities to explore.

An actual stable where you can choose what mounts, pets, and hunter pets you want to maintain. You could feed them, train them, check if they are healthy, etc etc

Perhaps a climate feature where you can toggle it off and on to experience real world temperature. You would have to transmog the appropriate armor/clothing for the area. You would need to drink and eat, bring first aid, sleep, etc. Not maintaining these stuff could result in a visible debuff or your character acting in a sluggish manner. The debuff/character acting sluggish is purely for rp purposes and won’t affect your gameplay in a negative fashion.

Possibly add a bard academy to learn music that you can play for others. The music could all be different stuff from Warcraft. You would have to travel all over in WoW to learn the music. Perhaps you have to do a quest to help someone in Grizzly Hills, afterwards he teaches you the theme song for that zone. You can play these songs on command for others to enjoy.
