The reason consumes are expensive is because people buy the consumes instead of making them, the only way to bring prices down, is to farm and make your own, as a bonus you can sell some which ultimately will help reduce the cost for everyone, since this is a simple supply and demand problem.
If you want to use the AH for all your potion needs, like a large percentage of the population, expect them to be expensive.
