My family owns horses and cattle back home in FL…there’s a reason I’d rather walk.
I’ve ridden a horse twice, the horse didn’t like it either.
On the plus side, my sister tells me when you’re too drunk to drive, the horse still remembers the way home.

I’ve heard of people getting a DUI on their lawnmower (after they lost their license due to prior DUIs) so it wouldn’t surprise me if there was a law against riding a horse drunk.
But hey, it’s Florida, so who knows.

In my youth I have actually sat on a tailgate of a truck and held the lead rope on a horse as we brought him home because a friend rode it up to the bar and tied to the rail like he was in a old Western Movie.
Of course the cops showed up and arrested him (cut him a break with only public intoxication) and then asked us to make sure that we got the horse home safely.
Can never understand anyone who could be hateful towards Hog. Legit chillest dude I’ve ever met, and played against, in WOW.

Laws vary state to state obviously, but in Indiana it isn’t illegal to ride a horse while drunk. However it is illegal to operate a motorized wheelchair while drunk 
.
Also had an uncle who got absolutely toe up drunk at a bar, couldn’t remember the way home, and got a DUI and reckless driving going the wrong direction on a fairly major street in Indy on… wait for it… a Yamaha Banshee. His master plan was to ride back roads to and from the bar (aptly nicknamed “Where Friends Fight”) in an attempt to cut down his chances of crossing paths with the law.
