Ofc they do this is bad faith argument so many people are saying these things for a reason. the game is more fun when it’s not a face roll but they’re not going to handicap themselves without incentive. And mythic raiding would be even more dead content without the best loot

If your guild can already clear the raid, then the buff just allows you to do it faster. If your guild is stuck, then the buff helps you to continue progressing. It’s a win-win for everyone except the gatekeepers.

Nice wall of text. They have a solution. Turn the buff off and find a guild wanting the challenge. VERY FEW to no one actually wants. You understand you are accomplishing nothing because you didn’t do this on live 15 years ago so who cares. BUFF AWAY BOIS.

Well from my perspective they’re just uh lying to themselves” it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to understand; people in my discord are saying the same things, but players are going to take the path of least resistance for gear if the alternative gives no benefit. Especially in groups of 25…
The existence of Hardcore servers proves you’re wrong. Playing on a HC server absolutely handicaps yourself, yet you gain nothing over playing on Era.

The phase hasn’t changed. It doesn’t end until Cata pre-patch. Nothing has changed except the option to use the buff.

No this is more like they are saying one thing but doing another. PETA is a perfect example of this. If they cared they wouldnt kill pets and keep them in a meat cooler. If they cared they wouldnt be using medicine tested on animals, if they cared they wouldnt be doing so much stuff because it makes them look like a hypocrite.

I remember when I was 10 years old I played goldeneye exclusively on secret agent, after playing for about 6 weeks I tried 007 agent and I got demolished, so I went straight to the Nintendo forums and made 8000 posts until 007 agent became as easy as secret agent

It’s not the accomplishment the game is just more fun but you’re not going to convince your raid group to gimp themselves over it, there’s a reason so many people think that way but you’re trying to invalidate them because you got a chip on your shoulder for some reason
Of course no one cares world first or world last. It’s a solved game. Which is why there are some who actually want to finish the content while its current, and it’s not for prestige. We had a guild meeting about it - if we wanted to continue throwing resources at content that’s going to be nerfed anyway, and every single one of us wanted to see if we could do it.
Are we in the minority? Maybe.
Then turn off the buff. See how simple it is.

So why do people care about the buff then? Its a solved game, let people have fun and if you want to give yourself a challenge then turn the buff off and find likeminded people to do the same.
Then they better get in there and put in the world before the 5th. If they dont make it, maybe they need the buff.

All content gets nerfed in some way either non-directly or directly.
But, this isnt even an actual nerf to the content. What nerf can just be turned off to be made harder for people?

I mean the crazy ones might be us because we keep telling them over and over expecting them to understand it. Either they are trolling hard or they are just a lost cause.

The solution is not to nerf content before a full phase has even completed. We had 20 weeks of Ulduar and they never touched it outside of XT that was mathematically impossible. We are getting ICC nerfed in 10 weeks. With 6 months or so still left of Wrath Classic.
It literally kills the idea of natural progression.
They’re just being dishonest. It’s clearly not about the challenge. They’re just obsessed with how everyone else plays the game.
