The AI dungeons in retail are neat, but I miss the banter and occasionally-awful plays from actual people lol.
Also the follower dungeons are pretty limited in exp and whatnot, I assume so they don’t fully replace normal dungeons.

Good points. The AI should be programmed for optional interesting banter, and an option for rarely but occasionally playing awful, lol.
They are not meant for leveling, they’re more to help new players learn the current dungeon mechanics before jumping into a group with actual people.

See, that needs to be changed. I don’t know why developers keep encouraging people to play with each other, when there is a better option. What are they having a moral or ethical dilemma?
They can program all this gambling bs in games to take advantage of kids, but they can’t replace real people with AI? That’s where they draw the line? (derp)
I’ve been hoping that since original vanilla when I realized how terrible people can be at the game. I would gladly fill empty slots with AI/bots.

The MMO part of this game is what makes it special. Sorry if you had crappy experiences with random people but finding a group of friends either in a guild or IRL is a huge remedy to the problems random toxic people can bring.
The biggest thing that made this game special for so many are the interactions they had with others during the years and making strong connections with new friends. Granted, in 2024 it may be damn near impossible but I hope you can find 4 competent people to destroy content with

Hmm. Maybe because it’s a Massively Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game. Not everyone is a bad apple. You don’t even have to talk to people while doing the runs and they do not usually take long.
Like Trusts? No, thanks. A socially anxious Sally myself, even I prefer just doing a quick run with a group and just getting it over with as opposed to things taking forever due to AI companions. It being a “Better option” is also your opinion.

Im pretty sure there’s bots players in sod dungeons. It would definitely explain all the players using trash whites while passing up every bit of legitimate gear.
Or asking questions like a blizzard survey while ignoring organic conversations and questions.
Or getting into crazy detailed conversations with each other while still performing max action per minute…
I hate to break it to you, but you are AI and everyone else is real. That’s why you would rather play with other AI.
I don’t believe that. People say it, but I don’t believe it, because in my experience of finding a good group of players, they always screw it up by either combining with another guild or going to play a different game I don’t want to play. AI would solve these problems. AI also don’t have schedules. I hate schedules. With AI, they are ready when I’m ready.
Also, if you’re saying WoW is only good with friends, then you’re just saying the game is crap, and you use it as an online dating simulation. I’ve met so many of those types always wanting to check people out on facebook, and then driving three states away to have an affair even though they’re already married. It’s just horrible to be in a guild with these people. Bring on the AI!!
ChatGPT already runs the ticket system, may as well be the player base as well.

I know that whichever company makes a good MMORPG with controllable/customizable AI for grouping with solo players is gonna make so much money. So much money. I wish I was smart enough to do it, but I’ll just have to wait for someone else to get the job done. It’s gonna be great!
