I wonder what percentage of WoW players got fully vaccinated?

It ain’t pointless if you get it. It does help.

Fully vaccinated.

But knowing how right leaning the player base is (because apparently vaccines somehow became political in the US) I’m not confident it’s a high number.

Got my second dose a few days ago.

What I have found is that a lot of people preaching against the vaccine have taken the vaccine on the low.

Not vaccinated cause I’m too lazy to go do it. Plus, I don’t feel like getting sick for a week on purpose.

I work in healthcare. I got vaccinated back in late December and 2nd shot was early January. Still kicking.

Got plenty of “friends” who would rather believe Buzzfeed over science.

This is why, at least for me. My mom is 65+ and has asthma so I don’t want to risk any of that with her.

 my mom.

edit for op: I got double shot. Moderna.

I got vaccinated. It’s been hell. Lots of side affects with my allergies. I had to go to the hospital to help with my breathing. Definitely lots of side effects.

Are you worried you’ll get the plague from an unvaccinated player from the other side of the planet while you’re playing? I hope you’re wearing your mask when you play.

I got both my Pfizer jabs as soon as I was eligible. My elderly parents got theirs months before hand. My mom has COPD as well and needs care sometimes - if I am not safe to be around I could kill her. With us all vaccinated we reduce the risk, even if we do get sick it will be milder.

First shot I had a bit of a sore arm, esp the second day. Second shot I knew to exercise my arm more and avoided even the soreness. I did not have any side effects as far as feeling sick or tired went.

I am a bit old… so I have my yellow vaccine passport/record we had to have to travel. It has all my polio, MMR, etc. It has my required school vaccinations in it for Kindergarten and again in HS/College.

I get my Flu shot too and when I am eligible will get my Shingles vaccine. See I am too old to have gotten a chickenpox vaccine so I got the pox. Now it means it can re-emerge as Shingles when I get older or a weakened immune system.

Vaccines work well and have been a core part of public health and access to main stream society for several generations now.

I think some people just seem to have forgotten how lucky we are to have them - and that we don’t have the deaths and long term disability that things like polio, measles, and mumps can cause.

I really hope COVID goes the same way - in that between basic sanitation (mask and hand washing) + a booster for variants, we can keep most people safe.

Imagine if those who did not believe in science and germ theory had their way - we would not have safe drinking water with cholera and typhoid removed. We would not have food safety standards. We would not have health standards like hand washing in food prep places. We would still have poop food… ewww.

Germs (bacteria, viruses, parasites) are real and science is good.

Fully vaccinated as early as I could be. Zero reactions other than injection point pain you’d get from any shot. The 5G is pretty great too.

It lasted less than a day for me.

The “getting sick” part is your immune system reacting and creating the necessary antibodies.

third option: Are you a hermit and never leave your house but you have nothing against the vaccine?

:raised_hand:

edit: Hey, will they mail me the vaccine? I’ll self administer it  I’m not leaving my house just to get it though :-1:

I got mine because I don’t have Facebook.

My vaccination status, like my vote, is no ones business but my own.

When it comes down to it, I’ve seen how my ability to progress in this game is often throttled by the common sense of other players. That mimics real life. My survival isn’t always going to be in my hands but in the hands of people who don’t even know me or care about me. So I got Pfizer vaccine as its one of the few things I can control about my situation.

These “vaccines” use genetically altered mRNA to force the human body to produce the proteins that make covid dangerous, this is why you get sick after the second shot, because you ARE sick.

This is different from a vaccine you’re accustomed to which exposes the body to dead/deactivated virus fragments to allow the bodies immune system to learn how to recognize it.

It does not.

If you do not want to take a Mrna vaccine just take the one from J&J–it is a traditional vaccine.

Nah. At 65 and healthy I would rather just catch the rona, (probably already did) much better immunities to not catch it again later in life. Getting boosters shots on regular basis does not sound like fun. BTW, did anyone see the financials that just came out from one of these companies. Over 2 billion in profit in the last 12 months. Alot of smiling faces in big pharm these days.

The J&J does not work the way you think it does.

The Johnson & Johnson vaccine delivers DNA to your cells to make the spike protein. An adenovirus acts as a delivery vehicle, carrying coronavirus genetic material (DNA). The adenovirus delivers the little piece of DNA to the cell that will then make the spike protein. After your cells produce the spike protein, your immune system creates antibodies toward the spike protein, protecting you from infection.

This is NOT a traditional vaccine.
